Field of Glory started out as a tabletop wargame over a decade ago. Designed by Richard Bodley Scott, Simon Hall, and Terry Shaw, the tabletop ruleset redefined wargaming by introducing unprecedented production values as well as setting new standards for the hobby.

My impressions (in short) after the Twitch preview:

- Yes, I'm hyped.

- I was a bit confused at first that Medival will be a seperate game - but soon could understood why (complete overhaul of FOG2 mechanics/design).

- Absolutely love the new 3D unit art - kudos to the designer!

- Marvellous banners - and for each nation! (BTW: something I would love to see in FOG2 Ancients, too.)

- I'm not completely convinced of the new map graphic style; the ground textures are looking too ... let's say: blank. (FOG2 map style and textures are top tier IMHO. Why change it?)

- Seasons! Battles in winter!

- Looks like A LOT of work went into this ... Great achievement; thanks to the whole team! Love you, guys!

One question though: Will there be no further DLCs/updates for FOG2 Ancients?

Great news in a tough year for many. Thanks to the team for all their hard work and effort. I am looking forward to the game a lot!

Is this a seperate game or a DLC ? I would imagine that if it is a seperate game then it may well tie in with Ageod. Advancing Field of Glory Empires to the Middle ages, I have to say pure speculation on my part. Also a possible reason for the very long delay in releasing Dlcs, Or is the long delay all down to Covid 19 ?

Well said for every point except from the maps' one. I find this style of maps more close to the tabletop ones and thanks God (at least in the screenshots) there are not those full of hills and rought ground maps.
A question: So we will have to wait for a DlC to FoG2 Mediaval to play a Crusader Army?

im in, i hope also cover the americas too =), but my cuestion is if you will continue to release updates and dlc for fog2?

From the pic i see a "Carroccio" ... feels like communal italians will be there

Carroccios, or similar standard wagons, were used by a number of other armies not just the Italians.

Carroccios, or similar standard wagons, were used by a number of other armies not just the Italians.

And as can be seen in the screenshots, each carroccio/standard wagon bears the emblem of its nation/faction on its side cloths and guards' shields as well as its banner.

Really nice graphics/art style ! Look at the banners and everything.
