BAD DECISION I have Field Marshall Edition v1.01.10

It says I must uninstall older version before getting the new update - updates have always updated over older versions why this change?

So am I reading below correctly, If we have the Field Marshall edition we DON'T NEED the new update?

Whomever owns them already doesn't need to worry though: you will still retain access to that content and you won't need this upgrade.

Interesting but very confusing - I almost did uninstall. Suggest you put out a very prominent and easy to understand notice to all FM and General Edition owners.

YOU WILL FIND OUT THAT THE GANG AT SLITHERINE( not the game players) ARE NOT IN THE HABIT OF GIVING A SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND WAY OF HELPING YOU INSTALL YOUR GAME!!!

Yup, such a simple statement and question, but the company can't even answer?

I own a large number of Matrix/Slitherine games. Times like this make me wonder why?

There is a new Installer v1.01.10. for Field Marshal Edition. Maybe you need to install this new Installer before updating ?

Thanks Terminator - but no that's the same problem says I must uninstall previous version. Don't want to that and lose it completely.

Plus I posted from another thread when Slitherene said FM & General owners don't need the patch - Sadly they don't seem willing to even verify or refute what they said.

As I advised I own a large number of their games, so customer support this poor is unfortunate.

If you uninstall the game, you do not lose the Savegames.

I have both versions(Steam and Slitherine) installed on the same computer, I had no problems installing or updating...

OK...the game is installed and running!!!!...now I think I have a graphics card problem,,,,the movement of units is slow and jerky...I did install the graphics card update that came with the Panzer Corp install procedure...How do I find out what graphics card I have?

As to be expected no answer, but I wrote a support ticket and it was answered quickly. Didn't like the answer but do appreciate I got a response. While it was Slitherene that posted that FM & General versions didn't need the update apparently that was not correct. Still don't think you should have to uninstall a game to get it updated but that's life I guess.

Used the update file but it said , Install PC 2 first....

You have to download the installer file and install the game. Only then you can install the update file.

But which file?
Tried the PC installer but it want disk 2?

You must be installing the game from inside the zip program.

You have to fully unzip the downloaded file "PanzerCorps2-MultiSetup-v01.01.10" to a folder in your Hard Disk.

After unzipping, you should have three extracted files:
"PanzerCorps2-MultiSetup-v01.01.10.exe"
"PanzerCorps2-MultiSetup-v01.01.10.2"
"PanzerCorps2-MultiSetup-v01.01.10.3"
Run "PanzerCorps2-MultiSetup-v01.01.10.exe" to install the game.

I have the Generals edition and the axis of operations 1939 and I can't install either one of them.
Don't understand why it has to be so difficult.
I have to say, I have not learned anything from this thread. I need some information that will help me get this game going.
My key runs out early next week, and oh, if it makes any difference at all, I bought it through Matrix, and they told me I had to come to this forum for help since for some reason they don't have the thread the to expansions for the game
