They are already provided for you, just like sometimes naval or rail transports are. If you look at the top of your game window, you will see in the center a little icon with numbers next to them that tell you how many you have available to you, and how many are currently in use.
Once you march your Nationalist infantry to the airfields, just click the air transport button on the left toolbar (the same one where you supply reinforcements). You infantry unit will instantly convert into a Ju 52 transport. The rest follows the rules of the game, which differ some from PC1.

I believe so, but I am not positive because I haven't tried. But I believe some light weapons might be, like 3.7 cm PaK. However, in PC1 there were large transport aircraft that for sure could. I don't see how, at least historically, a artillery gun of any size could be loaded and parachuted out of a Ju 52 transport plane.
In the opening of SCW, it only the Nationalist infantry that need air transport. The rest of your army should be carried over by naval transport. So long as you don't dilly-dally, you should have no problem bringing over your core over the water.
Make sure you save one Colonial inf unit to transport to Gibraltar so you can get the 203mm gun. You must have him wait until the enemy warships pass though.

Move your infantry to the airfield and select the transport button on the left. You can then send them over in planes and drop them off at the airfield once you have control of it.
Heavy stuff has to go by sea, as quickly as you can.
