Population Growth

Hi,

I'm in my first game and I stumbled about some strange pop growth in my glorious kingdom. As the wise king I am, I couldnt let this stand and investigated the matter.
As I wasnt satiesfied with the outcome of my investigations I took the best informations I could get and thought about sharing 'em with you. Quite a journey!

tl,dr: Tables for food. Probably correct.

Pretty much all informations are from this source: viewtopic.php?f=534&t=100091&p=865601&h ... th#p865601
Everything else I found was lacking.

So there is a simple function() that calculates how much food is needed to grow another pop. This number is modified with your health rating up to a maximum discount of 65%. But on a basis level you will need the following amount for the next pop (Table 1).

But not every region plays accordingly. This number is modified by the "fertility" of the land. The system uses the initial citizencount on mapcreation as an indicator for this "fertility". (Table 2)

Table 3 shows the penalty in %. The penalty starts at initial pop*3 and increments depending in your initial pop aswell. So a P3-Region starts at 9 and penalties rise every 3 pop. A P4 region starts at 12 and penalities rise every 4 steps.

There is one anomaly that I i currently couldnt solve. It seems like your capital city gets a 50% discount on food requirement.

Hope you enjoy. Feel free to correct my numbers if you find any errors. Im sorry for the size of the picture.

That is correct for the capital, almost. Not really a discount, but what you call fertility is increased.
