LB/RB buttons not working

I can't use the LB or RB buttons to switch h between targets or my own ships, so I haven't even been able to get past the tutorial!!

I am having the same difficulty with the L1 and R1 Buttons. They are not working for selection/targeting and I cannot complete the training missions. Just downloaded the game yesterday (Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020)
