I would love to see Korea,Modern Day , Cold War, and...........a DLC of the 'Secreat Weapons" of the combantans of WW2 extended from the 1945-1950 hypothetical time period

And I would like time reversed back to the American Civil War; that would be heavenly. I could play that in splendid isolation while the real 21st Century American Civil War roiled around me. Until they came for me, that is, or the power went out.

But who knows? We get hints from time to time about such expansion but the only firm plans that we here of currently are to "finish WW2." It would be nice to think that this gaming model could be easily converted to other eras but I don't think that is the case. Much work would need to go into designing new units, animation, and other dynamics.

American Civil War is the must IMHO
It was the first modern trenches war, foreshadowing World War I
The Crimean War 1853-56 is considered the first modern war, but I believe that only the conflict in America is important

EDIT. Of course, I love "The Charge of the Light Brigade" 1968 movie but I like the bridge destruction scene in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" by Sergio Leone much more :D

I’d like them to finish up WW2 strong with a Chinese Nationalist DLC and a United Nations trilogy that covers the Western Allies and Poland using the same multi nation system they’ve got in Vistula-Ofer.

After that Korean War would be fun. It’s the last major conventional war between great powers.

I'd like some Cold War Gone Hot.

Oh yes, a Red Storm Rising campaign would be great.
Apart from the obvious MBT battles in the german plains, we could have a mission with the North Sea naval battle and another one with commandos in Iceland.

We already have two Japanese campaigns (Morning Sun = 11 scenarios & Rising Sun = 12 scenarios), 23 scenarios in total, isn’t that enough?

Nope. And even Erik hasn't got anything yet, I think. The Japanese have some VERY interesting specs and units and I would love to see a campaign à la "Germany Grand" for them... :D

But we'll probably see an Allied trilogy first, so... :|

Yep. Im thinking about something between this previous two. I mean Contiunuating the war in China after 1940 and then attack by Japanese forces on Singapoure, Burma, and whole southeast Asia in the end maybe the last battle in Manchuria...

If it's the future we could have flying cars and rayguns...nah, at least for the near-term future it's WW2 still. :)

I do have one Banzai campaign and there will be 1-2 more...
But the scope is different than the official campaigns.

I'm all for OOB continuing exploring more obscure WW2 stuff (like in the Burma Road campaign)

+1

I sorely miss a campaign containing naval, land and air core units. This is what originally set this game apart.

There be plenty of unexplored areas of WWII. Also different ways of looking at existing material.

concur!

As for me, I don't see much deviation from WW2, but back to WW1 or forward to Korea. I am still experiencing with Vietnam, but even that need a whole lot of new mechanics (coding).

OOB: Modern warfare needs a lot of new aspects of action eg. day/night, guided missiles, radars/EW/detection, air mobility (transport heli switching from air to landed for load unload), air supply, satellite recon. And a lot more damage types vs new types of armor. New triggers, neutral (civilan) faction, change sides trigger, etc etc. New switches between certain classes, semi-mobile units like SAM sites which have deploy timer, mobile supply dumps which need time to pack...
