Slitherine

I'm talking about the ability to send private messages to other players in the round, for example by clicking their faction flag in diplomacy like in Medieval 2 Total War.
I know this feature has been requested many times already (in fact I did myself ) but I think the only answer we got was it is low on priority list. I have to say I think it is a very important feature, because many players don't use the Slitherine forums and are not willing to give away their email.
The current chat is fine but it doesn't allow private diplomacy at all, and it sometimes leads to blocked situations where you want to make a joined attack with a player on another one by surprise but it's simply impossible.

Adding private messaging would need to be done at the server level, so you will be better to ask additional PBEM functionalities in the general forum, as this is not specific to Empires.
