It does make you wonder how the tribes managed to keep the Romans out.. going up against slingshots with lead balls that almost had the power of a Magnum .44!

I'm dubious of this claim of 'deadly as Magnum 44'. Maybe at very close range but the Magnum .44 is going to retain velocity at a greater distance and therefore kinetic energy. If they're referring to the test I've seen they are talking about momentum which is not the same, a brick thrown has a fair amount of momentum but I'd rather be taking a .44 to the fight.
