You know how when you disembark a unit, they can move right away but cannot attack?

Double Attack heroes who disembark from transport get to attack right away. As if this wasn't already one of the best leaders, it just got better for amphibious assaulting or paratrooper assaulting.

Double Move Hero on aircraft is crazy good. Not only can you bomb and move, such as moving to find a fighter to hug to be escorted, you can move, bomb, and rebase all in a single turn.

Experimenting with improved pre-set CORE forces I finally get access to these uber heroes my main DLC playthrough haven't RNGed their way into acquiring.

In the base game, I've found that the Double Attack hero also works extremely well on powerful artillery like the 21 cm guns and the Gustav Gun. I've also observed that the Overrun hero works on artillery as well... unless you use said artillery to sink a naval target. Then Overrun doesn't trigger. I'm guessing that Overrun also doesn't apply for AA guns shooting down aircraft (but it would apply if they are killing tanks in AT mode)?

As for hero traits in general, in your opinion, is there anything that Rapid Fire doesn't go well with--besides Recon planes, that is?

Hi, Kerensky

Yes, the Double attack hero trait is very good. I obtained the trait early on the SCW campaign and assigned it to the Verdeja 2 tank, when it was gifted. Later, I have added two more traits (No Retaliation, first and then, Phased Movement)
This guy has been wreaking havoc between enemy units.

I'm in the last scenario of the AO 1939 and I will miss this guy, when I replace the unit for a Panzer III or IV, from 1940 on :)

Having diverse and assignable heroes is one of the great improvements from Pzc 1. Figuring out how to combine them is an especially great exercise. However, I am beginning to have some mixed feelings about creating uber units, as they are almost unstoppable. For example, a double attack/on roll by the end of a long scenario will just roam around and kill scores of units in one turn, as it might have something like +30 attack, attacks twice, and of course continues attacking after steamrolling units. Even with On Roll on a grenadier had +21 attack by the end of Stalingrad!
