I've noticed that Petlyakov PE-2 bombs my targets with precision that are absolutely not visible to AI (I've triple checked it, incl. return path of their aircraft, if any). Is this by design to add flavor?

Early on, some of us noticed that the AI seems to be able to see us when they shouldn't. Like they're "cheating."

What you're probably experiencing is the AI "remembering" where your unit was from the last turn. It was confirmed that it retains memory from previous turn only. So if the AI had a unit fly over or within sighting range of it the previous turn, it may attack it unless you move it or add protection. This was probably to try to imitate a bit of what it would be like if you were playing a human opponent.
