Hey dev team,
after over a thousand hours on your game I have a couple of requests that would be nice to implement:

QoL improvement: Bridge status on tactical map
I prefer playing on the tactical map than the 3D one. However there is, imho, a huge issue: it's not possible to see the status of a bridge (is it destroyed or not?).
Maybe a quick fix would be to display the 3D model of the bridge on the tactical map?

BUG: Image size on the custom campagin selection screen
Since the last couple of patches, the behavior of the custom content screen is a bit weird. See this couple of examples (first is okay, the 2 others not):


BUG: "Restart scenario" button missing
I've found that the "Restart scenario" button isn't showing up if I hit the Esc key rather than the "Options" button.
How to reproduce this:
1. start the game
2. start a scenario or load a save
3. hit Esc: the Options windows opens on the "Preference" tab and the "Restart scenario" button is missing

4. hit "Options" button: the Options windows opens on the Save & Load" tab and the "Restart scenario" is displayed

5. hit "Esc" button again: the Options windows opens on the "Save & Load" tab and the "Restart scenario" is displayed
6. Go to the Preference tab: the "Restart scenario" is displayed


BUG: "Hotseat" mode doesn't work
If I open the multiplayer menu and click the Hotseat button, window just closes. See example below (gif).

No dev feedback?

Sorry for the wait, usually issues are prioritized so that most critical get dealt with first. So it doesn't mean these are forgotten, but they may take some time.

Are you on Mac or PC Jacko?

The bug with Hotseat not opening is very odd and I've not seen that before....

PC, Steam version.
I've attached the Dxdiag report if this can help. If some event logs are required just point me where to find them

Hi,

Can you load the game, try to go to hotseat (getting the issue you mention), then quit the game.

Then, on the Launcher that appears when you quit hit the "Get Log File" button (bottom centre). Save the text document that appears and upload that to this thread?

The bridge status could be added as a simple txt in the terrain window. Should be a quick and easy solution.
'Bridge destroyed' and also 'Bridge OK' (sometimes it is hard to see if the bridge is working as well).

Hmm, interesting, the UI for Hotseat is failing as it's missing a reference to something...

Do you have many custom scenarios on your HDD? I don't suppose any of them have unusual (non Alphanumeric) characters in their titles? e.g. like accented chars?

If you go to Online Multiplayer and try to Create a Challenge, does the list appear correctly then?

A second thought, can you try backing up then renaming your Hotseat saves folder?

Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\SaveGames\Hotseat

Then try running the game? That will also help rule out an avenue.

Your last trick worked, for some reason I had a campaign save game in the hotseat folder. I removed it and it worked.
