I don't know if this the apporpriate place for this question, but I don't know where else to ask it.

In the first game in the new tournament, on my last turn, a strip of requistion points and command points appeared when I was playing the German side, which had an Italian flag. I assumed I could purchse Italian units. I hvae found no way to be able to do this. I have clicked the Italian flag to bring the strip down to repalce the Geram points, but nothing I click on changes the untis I can purchase from German units or allows me to purchase anything.

I thought perhaps the units weren't available yet and I needed to be patient, but when I received a turn from my opponent where he was playing the German side, he had Italian untis in the field - so I assumed he must have been able to purchase Italian units. I tried again on my current German turn, with the same result. I can find no way to purchase Italian units.

I must be missing something, but I don't know what.

Can you please advise?

And I guess you have already tried hitting p (purchase) and then selected the Italian flag?

Thanks for that Erik, that's very helpful.

The difficulty in this case has been that those tabs at the top of the purchase screen don't show for me, and so they are absent. This is probably because the game doesn't adjust very well to different screen resolutions. I am using the highest resolution I am able to where I can actually read the text. My monitor is capable of a much higher resolution, but the text is then so small I can't read it.

I'm playing at 2160p resolution and with the "HD UI" option turned OFF, all texts and UI elements (except the EDITOR!!! ) are scaled about the right size.

You can turn HD on/off under options.
I switch this all the time depending on wether i need to messages (off) or playing the game (on).
I use a 4k monitor and have set the game in windowed mode using max resolution.
I also use the Borderless Gaming app to remove the borders (to allow proper display of the bottom part of OOB).
