When the "76.2mm M31" attacks first in AT mode there is no initiative penalty being applied.
I surmise this an error?

I don't think it applies at all, which is why AA guns are incredibly good. In SCW I avoid putting armor too close to AA, lest the AI switch and hammer me.

i've never tried but can you finish a campaign in AT mode to use the AT hero, then switch it into AA mode, and get the bonus? That'd be cool and very useful on an 88!

Thanks for the replies.
If that is how it is suppose to be I will take that into account when playing thanks.
However I don't think that is the way it should be, intentional or not.
I don't believe an AA gun in AT mode should be able to move and attack and suffer no initiative penalty.
It becomes far more lethal than a dedicated AT set in position and defending.
Any how Cheers!
