Ignoring ZoC when charging already routed units?

I can understand and accept if units pursuing units that they themselves have routed ignore ZoC.

But is it really WaD to also apply for units when charging already routed units?

Should it be?

You would have to show a screenshot. Charges against routed units should work exactly the same as other charges.

No screenshots available unfortunately, but I've got a witness. ;)

So if charging an already routed unit, is that already routed unit considered to become routed again (thus, creating a new pursue that ignores the ZoC rule) or is it considered to stay routed (thus, it doesn't rout again and doesn't activate a new pursue that can ignore ZoC)?

I think that is a false dichotomy. It makes no difference whether it is a new rout or an existing one, pursuers ignore ZOCs.

And yes, existing routers make an immediate (additional) rout move when charged. The unit charging them pursues if it would do so for a normal rout. And as it is pursuing it ignores ZOCs.

So it should not ignore ZOCs for determining whether it is permitted to charge the routers, but once it has done so and is pursuing them it ignores ZOCs.

Ok, thanks Richard: then I know.
