No matter what I do in this scenario as Japan in Rising Sun – Java Invasion. All of my transports arrive at the final objective at Rembang City the game says defeat and the campaign ends. No matter what difficulty I play it at. This might be a major bug. Please look at this.

On the bare chance that you are getting into the nuts and bolts of this game, here is the culprit in this scenario; it no longer works to look for +1 turn beyond the total number of turns in the scenario (30 in this case); the developers did away with that capability in the last patch:

Is it right, that with the new patch 8.5.6. these problems are solved? I played this scenario last week and my four transport ships were offshore at the 30/31 round... Outcome was also surprisingly "Defeat!".

I checked today the install directory of the game (Steam) and in the Japan campaign and the Allies campaign subdirectories some scenarios got a new install date from 6.8.20.
Looks promising...

Java Sea is fine now. But don't use old mid-scenario saves from before the patch - start the scn anew.

I played this scenario again and now it works fine!

Same goes with Pearl Harbour. First try it was a Defeat despite all battleships were sunk.
