Um..., it sounds a bit sexist now, doesn't it? What if a woman wanted to join? Is it one of them clubs only for men, like Beefsteak Club in England and Australia in the past? How about "The Wargamers Club for Gentlewomen and Gentlemen" (WGCGG) OR, even better, "The Wargamers Club for Gentlepeople" (WGCG)...? :D

Ever heard of the Womens Institute ?

Just for one day can the ever so PC crowd take a break ?

Thank you.

Count the number of "Womens Institutes" and "Clubs for Gentlemen" and do the maths...

Sorry, guys, if it were the 19th century and I were a lord in Victorian Britain I'd certainly join your "club" but this is the 21st century... You reap what you sow...

The 'Gentlemen' refers to the behaviour acceptable in the club. It is because most trolls appear to be male in the wargaming World, in my experience. We do in fact have a lady in the club and it hasn't deterred many people coming through our doors. Maybe take a look instead of making petty comments?

Well, perhaps "The Wargamers Club for Ladies" then? I wonder how you'd feel being a member of a club called like this...? Would that be a problem? Would your male ego be hurt?

Oh please, get real. Ok, I'll rename the club just because one or two PC people make an issue of it and, just for you - not!

Not to throw more wood on the fire but 'war'-'gamers'? Is war so much fun? And a "club", a place designed to feel privileged and keep out other "less favoured" persons? And the word "The", like in The Almighty Know All... And using the web, the internet, to make announcements? The internet, the gutter of society... And don''t get me started on the triple W stuff and the "dots" in between. Okay, so far for my 2 cents, now I will continue correcting and rewriting Roald Dahl stories ... :-)

Just to be sure and clear, I was trying to be funny responding to/on the August 3, 2020 reaction. It's a beautiful name and initiative in my humble opinion. I just got caught up in the whole Roald Dahl craze that's going on in Europe (at least). Bravo!
