They look good Keith.

BG's of 6 skirmishers are 'risky' in that it is easy to get 1hp3 to cause a test, however since you have so many of the blighters it's likely they will tag team anyway.

I'd say it looks solid.

You'll have a less than happy time against shooty cavalry armies I believe, and so think that an IC might be worth the investment, but I'm sold on IC's so...

IMO it is asking for the enemy to avoid the MF if he wants and go for the rest and break the army by killing soft targets (assuming his is an army that can chase the lights of course). I may be woefully missing the point of it but it screams "victim" at me against too many other armies I'm afraid

You may be right , but the light foot can run through the MF and so the MF will be able to grab anything that comes near the LF , depending on the MF wanting to do that , there are so many bad match ups for the MF warriors as well.
