15mm, by quite a distance, especially with regard to tournaments.

Which leads onto another question
why ?
is it because people already have(had) them based for DBA or the like - or that they are much cheaper - or ?

15mm troops are easier to transport to conventions and tournaments. I use my 15mm armies on the road and play with my 1960's era HO scale Air-Fix and Hong Kong plastic figures at home.

ya..being on the 25mm end of things, at the local conventions/get-togethers, almost everyone is 15 unfortunately...size/space, $, opponents...but have enjoyed painting up two armies worth 1000pts

...am very good with tunics now!

Well, we old farts in my area (next door to St.Louis, Mo) have LARGE collections of historical 25-28mm minies. We may be forced to pony up $$$$ for 15mm armies.....Not too likely really.

We are a small group. The oldest member is the newest member....5-6 years of gaming.
Most of the longtimers who are now oldtimers have LARGE collections of 25-28mm minies. I don't think our wives would be too thrilled with our doing a major scale change.

If your painting your own miniatures you'll have a 15mm army complete & painted long before a 28mm army.

Well, most game around Central Ohio are 15mm.
I have seen some 25mm games and they look really nice. They have inspired me to put together a 25mm Roman army.
No1 I can stop anytime
