Importing from Spain to Poland

I am sure in the old system we were able to import the core force from the DLC back into the main game. Allowed you to hit the ground running and have some spectacular forces if you kept them alive. Is that functionality available and if not will it ever be. If not why bother having experience caps etc in the DLC when it ultimately means nothing, same arguement for heroes etc. Are you thinking of allowing the Spanish core force to be imported into the next DLC as well ?

Your e core from AOSCW will import into AO1939.
It will not import into the main campaign.

It worked the same in PzC1.
There was a mod to import your GC armies into AK, but not into the original campaign.
Since your units are not 'German' it would require a more complicated mod than anyone is likely to bother with.

You will be allowed to import an existing core once AO: 1939 is available.

The game already exports your core after completing SCW.

You can find the files here: \Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps 2\Cores

For me, the real question is how many core slots are we going to be able to begin the AO39 campaign with? Will it be the same 60 core, or will that be raised for the first "unique" scenarios (Sudatenland, Saarland, etc)?

I wonder this because you have no core infantry, which presumably you'll need right off the bat in AO39. So, the designers will either need to increase the core limit from the beginning so that you can add at least a few, or you're going to be forced to move some of your SCW veterans to the reserve to make room.

Anyone with inside knowledge willing/able to comment on this?

That information is not publicly avaliable yet.

A simple way to cheat it when the 2nd DLC is released is to use the prestige at Madrid to buy a ton of expensive units and reserve them.
The reserves will be carried forward, and you can then sell them for prestige for the new DLC.
Provided they dont realise, and patch it out. *oops* Exploits out of the bag now.

Prestige will carry over as well as units so that doesn't help.
I assume the captured equipment pool will carry over as well.
Buying 'reserve units' helps for Prestige Sinks, not DLC to DLC carryover.
Since building up a reserve force is good strategy it is doubtful that it will be punished.

I proceeded on the assumption that just the units would carry over, and not the prestige from the "SaveCore" command at the end of the script.

For the record, you can never import from Spain to Poland... because there are several scenarios before Poland 1939.

Whatever the title of the next DLC is called.
It would be useful to know whether the prestige is carried over or not.
I tried it with the savecore script from SCW into the main campaign and that just imported the units NOT the prestige.
Which is why i decided it'd be a good idea to buy lots of units in Madrid, and reserve them.

A quick question about army import - will commendation point import into 1939 the same way as prestige? The reason is that I'm not sure if it's worth it to buy commendation points for prestige around Zaragoza/Gijon and have them for any future spend occasions after SCW - for SCW I should be fine with whatever I earn using bonus objectives just fine.

CP do not transfer. So use em all up, no need to save them.
