Trait "beng"

Trait "beng" working only on Rivers ?
Can't force a Lake ? :(

In the vanilla movement file, bridge engineers cannot enter lake terrain (value of -200 unless it is frozen). So the short answer is no.

I don't care about vanilla movement file :)
My bridge engineers can walk to Lake or Shallow Sea (-100). But "beng" trait dont work ..

Ok. But if the lake is more than 1 hex wide, you would need multiple bridging units, one for each hex, making a chain across the lake.

Example, first unit bridges onto the lake 1 hex. Second unit would need enough movement to cross the first bridge and then enter hex 2 of the lake. Third unit would need enough movement to cross 2 bridge hexes and still be able to enter hex 3 of the lake. So if your lake is very wide, your bridging units would need a lot movement points to be able to complete the bridge. However, this is just theoretical; it would require some testing to see if this would really work the way I described. Or it may be that you are right and the "beng" trait really does only work across rivers. :wink: Again, testing would be needed.

Unless, of course, I am not understanding what you mean when you say "beng trait don't work". :?
