I own the Matrix version of the game. My OS is Windows XP SP3
I have just downloaded and installed the latest 1.12 patch and when I try to run the game, I can select a language, select the Standard or Fast play maps and then I have the following error message appearing in front of a full white screen :
Error: Display does not support 1024x768
Can someone help me solve this issue.

Sorry you are having problems - did your game work ok before you applied the upgrade?
What resolution is the display you are running on? If it does not support at least 1024x768 you will not be able to run the game.

Thank you for your answer.
Yes the game worked, but (shame on me) I have not played the game since a rather long time. I remember having updated the java platform some time ago in order to run a software for my son. Do you think the problem can be a java platform compatibility issue?
My current screen resolution is 1680x1050.
I have already tried to activate the windowed mode in the settings.txt file but it has changed nothing.
My video card is a NVIDIA GFORCE 8600GT and the 1024x768 mode is among the screen resolution I can choose. My video card drivers have been updated in the middle of february.

The problem is apparently solved.
I have changed my screen resolution to 1024x768 (erk!) and the game ran perfectly. I have then increased the screen resolution step by step and tried to run the game after each increase. I thought I would reach a point at which the game would stop running. I was wrong, I am back with a 1680x1050 screen resolution and the game is still running.

Thanks - that is really strange but good to know. I'll ask Johan to take look and see if he can work it out. It might also help others who are having issues.

Ok, seems you had some temporary problem only. Did you reboot computer in between changes and was that reboot when it started working again?

No, I did not reboot. The only thing I did was to close my Firewall/AntiVirus as it could stop some things to run adequately, but it was not enough. I then reduced the screen resolution and it worked. After that I, opened my Firewall/Antivirus again and let it run in the background as usual. The game ran adequately again whatever the current screen resolution... and it is still running adequately.

No its COMODO Internet Security, I must close it before playing a lot of games (WinSPMBT, WinSPWW2, Legion and all its successors, all the Five Stars General games from SSI and theirs mods...), but it does not seem to block CEAW.

I am unable to either host or join a multiplayer game. I create the game, hit the host button and set the time limit for turns but the tick box to start is not activated (although the x box is to leave the screen). I think the game will be great against a human foe but just cannot start or join a game. Help! My foe has the exact same problems. We have both disabled our firewalls. Any suggestions how to solve this? Is it something to with having to load a scenario first?
