The Xyston & Warmodelling Celts are very similar in size: http://www.madaxeman.com/15mm/displayim ... ?pos=-1156 and as the warmodelling figures seem to have been designed all at the same time I impaine their Romans are a similar size to their Celts. I think Xystons Romans are reportedly "big" even for Xyston figures, but these two shoudl work together

Both are on the "big" side, but not having seen any Camelot figures I'd be surprised if they too are as big.

Have just got a few packs of these figures via a friend who picked them up at Salute. First look – nice sculpting with good figure proportions. Metal is rather light and means the spears MAY be a bit brittle. Definitely bigger than Essex/Chariot 15mm figs by a few mm. I have:

ARR 10: Velites for mid republican rome. Random selection of designs, 6 different across 2 packs. All wear wolfskins. My other MRR figures are Feudal Casting; the Warmodelling are 1-2mm taller. I won't mix the 2 designs on the same base but will use them in the same army in their own battlegroups. The shields & spears are cast in 1 piece with these figures.

ARR 14: Lictores – 4 in a pack, 2 designs. These are going onto a command base with a Feudal Casting general – theres one in tunic reading a scroll on horseback – with judicious filing down of the lictor figures' bases these will go very nicely together I think

AGL 21; Druids. I have a pack of Chariot's "Druids & Screaming Women" and wanted a few more for variety. The Warmodelling figures are VERY nice models, 4 different characters & will be a joy to paint. They are definitely bigger by 2-3mm than the chariot figures, and remain taller even after filing the base thickness to a sliver only. I will probably get away with using one of the chariot druids as a teenage acolyte on the same base – time will tell after painting

Overall, very nice models, will be getting some more but will definitely get them as whole battlegroup batches rather than mix them due to the height (probably about Xyston greek hoplite size though I didnt have any to hand to compare with). I'm not sold on the principes, hastati & triarii on the grounds that the shields seem too short in proportion to figure height compared to other manufacturers, but will hopefully be getting some mid-rep roman cavalry and italian allies soon

The druids are much taller by a head than the MM (or indeed minifigs) celts/ancient brits. The others look less different especially now painted
