We are entering the last week of the competition everyone. Please try and finish your games by 31/7. If you are having trouble contacting an opponent please send them a challenge by PM but also post the details here as well so the organisers can see that you have tried to get the game played. It will help us when we go to the adjudication process and allocate points for any unplayed or incomplete matches. I am in the process of individually PM'ing players who have matches to finish. Turk1964(Early Achaemanid Persian Platea) 43/45 vs ZumHueriger(Seleucids) 42/39

Turk won initiative

A very close battle which nearly ended very quickly for the EAPs. I deployed my armoured offensive spear out in front of the main army with skirmishers and bowmen inbetween.Well my spearmen were totally trashed by the combined Pike and Cataphract assault. The EAP MF made a hasty retreat into the wheat fields and hills and managed to hang on long enough to turn the battle and secure a minor victory. Well played Tom this was a lot closer than i would have liked.
