The Free French force in North Africa were lacking mobile weapons. So they did some field modifications on their own. This is a truck AT gun, using captured German 5cm Pak-38 gun mounted to the Ford C60L truck. These modified portees first saw combat in Bir Hacheim, Spring 1942.

Another Free French Portee. The combination between a Chevrolet 3ton GS truck and a 75mm Mle 1897 field gun, AT and AR mode.

Free French army "Conus Gun". This one is a combination of the Canadian CMP truck and the 75mm 1897 gun. But with large modifications, including an armored box for the driver's cab, and a rotatable turret mounting the field gun on the modified cargo bed.

French army 47mm SA-37 AT gun. The best anti tank gun in the early 1940s! There are also the German captured and Finnish army versions.

Renault R35/39 light infantry tank. It was just the R35 rearmed with the longer barrel SA 37 gun (Same gun in R40 and H39 tanks), given them much better penetration against armored vehicles. Only around 50 examples got converted before the armistice.
