I tested it myself and couldn't get it to work.
Looking at your test game, Achaemenid vs Tartar, it appears in Medieval but not in Ancients. So I don't think a player without Medieval is going to be able to pick it up.

I have sent a PM to Richard and I expect we'll hear back later this afternoon.

At the moment, with only 4 places left, we don't appear to have anyone who just has FOG2 Medieval (I have checked with newcomers JonPowles and scrofulus and they both have both games), but we do have a modest number who just have FOG2 Ancients. If this Time Warp thing cannot be changed before next Monday, it will mean that those with only FOG2 Ancients will need to be drawn against players who have picked FOG2 Ancient armies as well. So I will have to do the draw in 2 parts to avoid any problems. That is not an insurmountable problem in itself and probably the best way to do it is to have all the "only FOG2 Ancients" players drawn out first and then add the rest of the players to the draw afterwards.

No they can't.

For several reasons, including (but not confined to)
1) Ancients does not include the Medieval models.
2) The two games use different MP servers.

OK then, thanks Richard. No real problem excepting that I will switch to a split draw in the first few rounds of the tournament.

I will play with an Ancient army to be determined.

Isn't the problem just going to appear later in the tournament once we get past the stage where you've 'fixed' the draw to avoid the Medieval vs Ancients match ups?

Not necessarily. The number of players who only have FOG2 Ancients will diminish on average by 50% each round and there should usually be enough other players using FOG2 Ancients armies for them to play against. Mathematically, it is possible that there will be a match in a later round where a player without the "Time Warp" facility using a FOG2 Ancients army is drawn against a player with a FOG2 Medieval army. In those circumstances I will be asking both players to select different FOG2 Ancient armies to play in that particular round of the tournament.

At the moment we have 9 players saying that they just have FOG2 Ancients. There may be one or two others who have not indicated yet. But if it is only those 9 then I will draw 3 other players with FOG2 Ancient armies to join those 9 - and then the first part of the split draw will comprise of 6 these matches where everyone is using FOG2 Ancients armies. The second part of the split draw will be 26 matches involving players who have both FOG2 Ancients and FOG2 Medieval and they can use the "Time Warp" as required.
