I ran out of time today for PM'ing you a list of map locations.
Will try again tomorrow. You could also peek at the allied planning thread?

No worries Justin, Am pretty busy at the moment too.
Tell you what... Once you & Monty are in agreement, email me Allied orders.
I'll confirm if they're acceptable, or if you're trying to do anything illegal.

Hey JC,

So, here's what we're looking at for June 8th...
4x CONFIRMED BATTLES - June 8th AM
Battle maps will approximate what you see on the Strat Map, but I've provided short descriptions below to help you with force selection...
OUISTREHAM - 151/50 (inf) [NTMRS] attacks fortified defence (AFD) v 858/346 (inf) [AFMRPS] - arrives from W
Enormous fortified beach with many defences positioned towards the sea. Some woods, estuary and marshes. A small town at the eastern edge
CAEN - 125/21Pz (mech) [APS] attacks fortified defence (AFD) v 6al/6 (para) [ATMRS] - arrives from S
Regional capital city with a castle fortress controlling river crossings. A busy port, cathedral, warehouses and university districts. Urban extreme.
BAYEUX - 9/3 (mech) [AMRS] attacks fortified defence (AFD) v II/744/711 (VG inf) [PS] - arrives from N
Historic town, dominated by river, cathedral and a fortified town hall. Fields to the south and west.
BURON - 8/3cdn (mech) [S] attacks fortified defence (AFD) v II/736/716 (VG inf) [MPS] - arrives from NW
Mostly fields and hedgerow, some small woods, several roads through the centre. Opposing forces are divided by a river towards the west.
1x POSSIBLE BATTLE - June 8th PM (if defender wins June 8th AM)
BAYEUX 231/50 (mech) [S] attacks fortified defence (AFD) v II/744/711 (VG inf) [PS] - arrives from NE
Historic town, dominated by river, cathedral and fortified town hall
Bonuses in square brackets [A=Arty, N=Naval Arty, T=Typhoon, F=Fw190G-2, M=Medic, R=Rally, P=Promote, S=Resupply]
Hadn't expected Buron, so I need to knock that map up and am busy with work/family this weekend. Hope to get you all started midweek... Urban practice recommended for Caen and Bayeux... Field/hedgerow assaults recommended for Allies in Buron and Ouistreham; Sneaky ambush practice recommended for Germans in same...

Answer to a question on supplies...
All German BGs start June 8th with 2 days of supplies
Allied BGs already on the map start June 8th with 2 days of supplies. New arrivals start June 8th with 1 day of supplies (becoming 2 days on June 9th, so long as all three of Gold, Juno and Sword remain in Allied hands)
See below...
GJS'44 Rules & Regs wrote:8.2 All units must be able to trace a continuous path of controlled sectors to a source of supplies.
8.21 German BGs receive 1 day of supplies from either Villers Bocage or Vimont, plus 1 day of supplies from Caen or Bayeux, provided that the supplying town is held by the Germans. ie. German BGs typically enjoy 2 days of supplies, until Caen and Bayeux are lost, then they receive only 1 day of supplies, until Vimont and Villers-Bocage are also lost, when German BGs will lose their access to new supplies.
8.22 New German BGs arrive in Villers-Bocage or Vimont fully supplied for 2 days.
8.23 Allied BGs receive 1 day of supplies from any of Gold, Juno or Sword beach, provided that the supplying sector is held by the Allies, plus an additional 1 day of supplies if all three of Gold, Juno and Sword beaches are held by the Allies. ie. Allied BGs typically have 1 day of supplies, until they gain control over all three of the main landing beaches, when the massive influx of materiel raises this to 2 days.
8.24 Beach landing Allied BGs, including commandos, arrive on the beach fully supplied for 1 day only.

If defenders lose in Caen or Ouistreham, they will be dissolved... Neither 858/346 or 6al/6 enjoy neighbouring friendly sectors to withdraw to...

Gentlemen...
Recon flights reveal high level overviews for all four maps for June 8th.
GJS'44 Strat Map is shown in the top right corner of each battle map below.
(Don't hold military intel to exact locations of VP flags, but our spooks advise that you should encounter terrain similar to this)
OUISTREHAM
Ouistreham would have been a bloodbath for an Allied attack from the ocean.
But could a cunning Allied attack from the west be successful? How open is that road?
BURON
Buron is where Panzer Meyer's Hitlerjugend chewed up the Canadians.
However, II/736/716 doesn't have Meyer's 12th SS PzIV squadrons.
Can these recently merged survivors hold the crossing?
BAYEUX
Bayeux was actually liberated on D-Day itself, June 6th, lightly "defended by only female German typists" Allied commanders would later claim.
How will the as yet untested II/744/711 perform against the fresh might of 9/3 mech/armour brigade?
CAEN
Ding, ding, Caen, round 2... In a shock development, Allied paratroopers captured the regional city of Normandy on June 7th.
This is urban warfare extreme... where infantry delight... Can the paras hold out against a mechanised assault?

Order of Battle for both sides now updated to show impact of June 8th merges (MS Excel) ->
http://bit.ly/BA88gjs44oob
It's worth taking a look at this because...
Caen - Both sides have suffered previous losses so what's left could make for interesting action
Buron - Both BGs result from previous merges, so they have non-standard unit sets... Unusually heavy ATG presence... Transport essential
