Again a very difficult battle for the Romans against a very mobile enemy, made up of cavalry and elephants. Although their enemies started strong, the Romans managed to increase their score after taking out the elephants. The light cavalry of the Hephthalites was terribly effective, constantly harassing whoever they could. A very close but fair result.

Can you please clarify which armies took 55% and 52% losses?

Well Done Alex. There's plenty of potential for upwards movement in The Divisional Championship. TDC conforms with the Peter Principle in that you will be promoted to your level of incompetence, at which point you may well be promptly relegated again. Except some people find out that you are not incompetent at all.

Very close finish between 1st and 2nd, but as Rafydedel won 8 out of 8 games he is a deserved winner. I am also very grateful to Rafydedel for joining as a replacement, although perhaps the other players are not as thankful as me.

My missing game was against Gdod, he won,but obviously didn't report it, and I can't find the result in my played games listing, not sure where it's gone.

Hi All

grahamed Neo Hittite 39% beat Lydianed Thracian 68%.

Great game lots of ups and downs, the Hittite Chariots on my right flank were eventually pushed back by the Thracian hordes! Fortunately for me the guards and spearmen on the central hills ably supported by archery managed to do enough damage to stop the Thracian centre and left. There was nothing in it until a couple of turns from the end when a number of key Thracian units fell.

Thanks for all your efforts in running this and to my colleague competitors from Division 4 for enjoyable games. Nice to finally emerge victorious with the Mongols admittedly with more than a little help from their subject knights.

Congratulations to the winners and participants. It's great everyone supports competitions like this one. And kudos to all my opponents who provided challenging games in such a timely fashion. I know it's a lot of dedication to finding time to meet the obligations of regular gaming, not to mention a lot of work organising and recording results.

Starting with Division D, fogman was the best player and won. There was a relatively close race for second between mberisso and JacobusRobertus.

Division C was a blowout with anderarcos11 winning easily. anderarcos11 definitely deserves a promotion to Division B. This was the most dominant performance in Late Medieval. Jtrillodmp, ulysisgrunt, and heidipie had a close battle for second place.

Division B was another blowout with random27 easily winning the division. Random27 deserves a promotion to Division A. Bagatrix1805, Morat and paulmcneil battled for second.

Division A was very close and while harveylh won the division he did lose the head-to-head with tyronec who finished second. ericdoman1 would probably have been in the running but had to withdraw after being hospitalized. Here’s hoping he returns for TDC6. harveylh only defeated ericdoman1 by a 60-55 score. CheAhn also was in the running by beating tyronec but losing to harveylh, 42-17. Otherwise, CheAhn probably would have won Division A. Nosy_Rat and pantherboy both deserve kudos for running armies that were somewhat less than competitive, Swiss and Hussite respectively, but fighting for third place.

Thanks to all for participating and correcting me when I fat fingered results in the results spreadsheet. See you on the battlefield for TDC6.
