Hi Pete,

another great image.

When I visited the Erimitage in St. Petersburg, they told us, painters of the medieval era had no idea of what ancient warriors looked like.
For example Hannibal looks on paintings of this era like a muslim commander and his troops almost like Saracens....:)

Thanks,

Klaus

Division D

telebaticus wins
telebaticus (Nikephorian Byzantine) 20/26 vs Mike48 (Western Turkish) 30/30.

Nice game. I tried to go on a hill on my right wing and fight there but the Nikeporian Byzantine army rushed too quick and disordered my army.

Thank you Telebaticus.

A great game. At the first we both sat on our hill and sniped. We finally met in the middle for a real donnybrook.

Responses received so far from claymore, Leonidas048 and tofman04 who all have games in progress in the divisions indicated above. All three should be coming off the list soon. Also, Portapenne had already indicated that he has three matches in progress now. :D

Edit 17/10 I have just been told that mcwar has a match in progress.
Edit 18/10 Sharkall and claytonengel have been in contact and have games underway.

Division A

I've been sitting on these results for a while, apologies for not posting them earlier ...

Londo (Aragon E) 11/35 beat Charles Robinson (Wallachian) 31/31
Londo (Aragon E) 25/36 beat Rex Hurley (Medieval French L) 32/32
Londo (Aragon E) 23/36 beat Tiavals (Timurids) 28/28

Army structure was the killer against Charles and Tiavals. Aragon is a fantastic combined-arms force that works well in any terrain, has good firepower against cavalry, and enough spearmen to just keep pushing enemy cavalry backwards.

Was Aragon the Denver Broncos of the Medieval world? I must read up about them.

Rex's French pushed me hard; they also have nice infantry, though perhaps not enough. Fortunately, the dice came to my rescue.
