the orientation of the 39 and 40 maps is tilted by 90°. north is to the right of the map.
i am currently reworking 39 to give it correct orientation and will do the same for 1940.

I just completed an AO 1939 run after adding the artillery support trait to the allied HW infantry. The change gave real value to HW Inf. I see it as recognizing the heavy machine guns and heavy mortars found in these units.

Is there a consensus whether this change is overpowered? If it is overpowered, what is the best alternative?

with last update artillerie support was replaced by ferocious defense while retaining the machine gun trait.
in addition SdKfz250/251 is restricted to Pioneer and grenadier units with Wehr infantrie reduced to 2 slots.
both SdKfz recieved a slight enhance in stats to make the extra core slot worth it.

From my point of view german infantrie feels fine now. evry unit has its niche and value.

that depends on where u got the mod from. it´s inside the steam workshop area if downloaded from steam.
If u download it from here u will find it in the data folder of the mod.

If u just want to play a new AO campaign, activate the mod and play it. the unit changes will apply to the AO campaign as well if started when the mod is active.
i would advice to turn it off before starting any scenarios with enemy ships in it. Those maps can become very surprising
with the mod active. ;)

in theory the AC path does but i have not tested that myself yet, since i still need to do some fluffing once all 3 path are completed.

Azul and Folgore infantry question: do they have access to the halftracks now, or are they limited to trucks too now?

Oh also, not sure what you ended up deciding for "counter-battery fire" hero, but my two cents is that it's worth including, since you can get one or two +1 range artillery heroes, which makes counter-battery worthwhile to put on a 15cm gun

only grenadier and pioneer have acces to halftracks.

it will surely stay in the pool, the category is to be debated still, but looks like it will end up in the 1k bracket.

At Stonne there are a bunch of errors filling the screen when the AI is attacking, same happens when moving my own units string error 198 attempt to call a nil value (globalIsIteminTable)

There is a reserve hex at Zolotonosha at 24,1 which is also in line of the AI counter attack at the start. I had an AI unit occupying that hex and was therefore not able to attack it with aircraft. Not a big deal but thought I mention it.
