Weekly round-up
An important win for klayeckles (Hepthalite) saw him move 7 points clear of NikiforosFokas (Jewish Revolt) at the bottom of Division A. klayeckles has just one match remaining while NikiforosFokas has four. In Division B Triarii (Kingdom of Soissons) registered a 2 point draw to move into second place behind rexhurley (Moorish). The big match remaining is Triarii v Geffalrus (Palmyran) and Geffalrus must win that decisively to overtake rexhurley at the top of the table. If he does then Triarii would need to beat SpeedyCM (Sassanid) in his last match to claim the automatic promotion place. In Division C cromlechi (Scots-Irish), GDod (Galatian) and Trogilus (Dacian) are still in contention for second place and possibly a discretionary promotion place while Doyley50 (Roman) needs at least a 2-point draw in his last match to overtake Barrold713 (Moorish) to avoid automatic relegation. There is nothing to report in Division D.
Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
pantherboy (Division A) 4 matches
Morbio (Division B) 7 matches and finished
Triarii (Division B) 5 matches
Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 39 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 42 out of 45 matches completed
Division C - 40 out of 45 matches completed
Division D - 40 out of 45 matches completed
These are excellent match completion rates.
Player of the week
paulmcneil (Division C) who won 2 matches this week.

Weekly round-up
A big flurry of results in Division A, which included 2 wins for ruskicanuk (Breton) means that he is the winner of the division because Nosy_Rat (Khorasanian) can now only reach 31 points if he wins his last 3 matches. At the bottom, GDod (Ghaznavid) is still without a point after 7 matches and he must beat NikiforosFokas (Arab Conquest) to have any chance of avoiding automatic relegation. The promotion and relegation issues are already settled in Division B, while in Division C KiFi (French) will finish in the wooden spoon position after losing to Ulysisgrunt (Khazar).
Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
harveylh (Division A) 3 matches
Nosy_Rat (Division A) 3 matches
ruskicanuk (Division A) 6 matches and finished
Nijis (Division B) 3 matches and finished
Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 36 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 43 out of 45 matches completed
Division C - 43 out of 45 matches completed
Division A is a little slow, but Division B and C have excellent match completion rates.
Player of the week
ruskicanuk (Division A) with 2 victories this week to win Division A.

Division B
Morbio (Indo-Greek) defeated SpeedyCM (Spanish) 65-46.
A rare win for the Indo-Greeks who managed to keep out of melee for long enough to establish a lead that was rapidly diminishing but just held to get them over the line!

Weekly round-up
Much busier this week in Division A where hidde (Urartian) won 3 matches to end his relegation fears. Perhaps more significantly, pantherboy (Kyrenean Greek) won his third match to remain unbeaten and now presents the most serious challenge to ianiow (Arab) for the top position. At the bottom nyczar (Lydian) has no points from 5 starts and looks likely to be relegated. In Division B everything has been decided except for who gets the wooden spoon. The match between Ulysisgrunt (Cypriot) and uneducated (Hebrew) will decide this issue.
Unbeaten runs of 3 matches or more
hidde (Division A) 4 matches
pantherboy (Division A) 3 matches
devoncop (Division B) 6 matches
lydianed (Division B) 5 matches and finished
Match completion rate (45 matches in total to be played in each division)
Division A - 35 out of 45 matches completed
Division B - 43 out of 45 matches completed
Division A is a bit slow while Division B is excellent.
Player of the week
hidde (Division A) with 3 wins this week.

Division C
Sunnyboy - Jewish 167-164 BC beat Cromlechi - Carthaginians (Hannibal in Africa 202BC) 71-48
A tough hard-fought contest, The Jewish initial focused their attack on the Carthaginian left the zealots making short work of the outnumbered Spanish scutarii. The planned refusal of the Jewish left didn’t work out so well with the Carthaginians making short work of the Jewish irregulars. Both armies then slugged it out however the Zealots proved too have their opponents measure.
That was my last game for this season, thank you to Pete for running the show and to all my opponents for an enjoyable season.

ruskicanuk's Bretons outmaneuvered and smashed my Arabs. Not a pretty game! Not an army I want to face again.

Div B
Nijis (Seleucids) defeat Trogilus (Carthaginians) 60-2.
The Seleucids won the battle of the skirmishers and so the phalanxes were at full strength when they slammed into the Carthaginian line. With a fair amount of luck, they steamrollered the center - but if it had taken one turn longer, the flanking Carthaginian cavalry would have fallen on their rear, wreaking havoc.
