You're supposed to purchase and deploy your core units.
i just tested and was able to buy 2 x inf, 1 eng, one SdKfz 222, one PzKW II, one 37mm Pak 36, on and one 7.5cm leIG 18. Trucks added.
Luftwaffe got one Bf110C and two Ju87Bs.
This is approx the starting units in the Panzer Corps campaign.
The Gebirgsjäger unit was added to the reserve because there are no such units available to the German player in 1939. An oversight by the developers.
Good luck and have fun.

So I just started turn 1 in Germany West v1.5 17-8-2019 - and without doing anything at all - Capture Poznan is shown as a failed objective and Hold Glogau is shown as a completed objective
Don't understand that - thanks for clarifying

Hold Glogau is correct. The objective is set as completed at the beginning because Germany initially owns the hex. If they continue to hold it for the entire scenario, the objective remains completed and contributes to the victory conditions. Only if they
lose control of Glogau is the objective failed.
Capture Poznan is an issue, though. Immediate failure confirmed:

It's because this condition should be set for "Scenario turn limit" but instead it is defaulting to Turn = 1. The Poles hold Poznan in the beginning, so the trigger activates on Turn 1 and fails the objective:

Germany West 39-40 and Sea Lion 40-42 are the only two former "Germany Grand Campaign" components that have not undergone a CSI sweep.

Some time ago I changed the names of the campaign folders slightly to be the same as something else in the campaign files (can't remember exactly what

)
You may be stuck between old 44 and new 45 campaigns...
Sorry about the inconvenience.
You may be able to fix this yourselfes by opening the Campaign Editor and the 45 campaign, clicking on Settings and changing the name in Importable Cores.
Check if this is the same name as the 44 campaign folder.

U.S. Naval Campaign.
I keep getting a hang up on the "Rainbow 5" scenario and nothing I've tried seems to work. Seen this before but was really looking forward to playing this campaign. Any ideas?

Just tried replaying this scenario a couple of days ago. It took 28 minutes for my computer to complete the first Japanese turn, which is the same experience I had when played previously. That first time took a whole weekend to complete the scenario but I didn't have the interest to repeat it, so I had to #igotnukes.

I also had to use that cheat code to get past that one but then when I clicked to start "Coral Sea", it just skipped it and went to "Midway", which also just skipped to Guadalcanal. So I missed the two big Carrier battles for some reason.
Great campaign but needs to be tweaked around some for playability.

Hi,
can someone explain the Narvik scenario in the 39-40 campaign, please. The briefing mentions Gebirgsjäger, but I have only Navy units and no command points for Army. I made my with the destroyers to Narvik, but nothing happened, the DD could not take Narvik and not troops were triggered. So I‘m a little bit clueless. Thanks.

The 'Capture and hold Narvik' objective includes this info: 'You need to place at least 4 destroyers next to Narvik. This will put the three Gebirgsjäger battalions ashore.'
Are you sure you met this condition?
You are the first to raise this as an issue.

I think this game needs some more work as it's the slowest loading game I've ever played. Great game but just so slow loading.
I've had to use #igotnukes for three scenarios now that just wouldn't load up after my turn. I was disappointed with the "Tarawa" scenario that I played my turn and them watched an entire Football game and came back to it and it was still "thinking". Personally and I'm not being rude but I think some editing and losing a lot of those ships to a realistic level would solve this.
I know you're busy with other projects but I sure wish you would give this great campaign a facelift.
JMHO, Robert.
Thank you.

Just tried this scenario for second time to confirm - When end deployment phase and try to start turn 1 it goes straight to a Major Defeat - clearly something is set wrong in the victory conditions/hex control of the scenario..

Just as a head's up, when playing the Sedan scenario in Germany West 39-40, once you activate the transports by entering the port towns, they are immobile, and therefore useless to provide supply to units that one may want to ferry across the Meuse River. This used to not be the case...

I can confirm this, at least for Tarawa. It drags from the start. You know, there aren't that many units in this scenario. What there is a lot of, however, are repetitive "Seek & Destroy" AI teams; 15 for air and 5 for naval. A while back, I suggested that in addition to what we know about too many units in one AI team, there could also be a problem with too many AI teams doing similar tasks. Erik might consider cutting back on the number of AI teams in this campaign and see if that perks things up.

This one had me stumped for a while! I even deleted ALL the triggers, saved it, and tried it again with the same result, an instant Major Defeat. At the last moment, I found the culprit; this AI objective is marked as achieved from the beginning:

- Screenshot 1.jpg (155.81 KiB) Viewed 2711 times
It doesn't matter what the triggers say; the moment it senses the AI objective is completed, the scenario is over.

I'm not familiar with this scenario, but I have come up with a theory. All of these supply ships are spawned as Kriegsmarine faction:

- Screenshot 3.jpg (234.04 KiB) Viewed 2705 times
but the faction itself is designated as neutral:

- Screenshot 4.jpg (174.81 KiB) Viewed 2705 times
This would explain why they are immobile. In addition, I doubt whether they would provide any supply to units of the German faction.

Thank you Bru888! I believe you are right about what you are saying and highly agree. Some fine tuning would make this a great Campaign like Wacht Am Rhein. I'm just partial to sea battles.
By the way, I've been enjoying playing your Aleutians and Oahu scenarios. They're great!
