A tough game where the Egyptians headed away from the Carthaginian MI in a large forest turning on them again when the MI were back in the open - very successfully. Unfortunately the angle of the Egyptian line did not quite reach a central lake and turned into a weak point eventually allowing elephants to roll up the phalanx line. Very touch and go up to that last point. Unfortunately for my opponent, unlike Carthaginian cavalry, elephants do not seem to ignore phalanx flanks and rears in pursuit.

Infantry faced off against infantry against a lake with French cavalry facing off German cavalry and some spears on the open flank. An initial missile exchange cost the French & Vikings their missile troops but despite that their Housecarls and spears were gaining the upper hand. Fortunately for the Germans the spears amongst their cavalry proved decisive and allowed the French infantry line to be flanked while still engaged.
