1) Ah, I forgot to checkmark the 'off-map' supply in the editor.

Mustangs as fighters are virtually useless in this campaign. Napalm? No kidding! It barely extracts one half-strength point in their ludicrous ground attacks

Easy to find info:
"From the start of the Korean War, the Mustang once again proved useful. A "substantial number" of stored or in-service F-51Ds were shipped, via aircraft carriers, to the combat zone, and were used by the USAF, the South African Air Force, and the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF). The F-51 was used for ground attack, fitted with rockets and bombs, and photo reconnaissance, rather than being as interceptors or "pure" fighters." ( From Wikipedia)

Other con: which commander would throw completely green snipers into a harsh battlefield?

You know now that you mention it, why isn't there napalm in the game already? Would have figured that would be a specialization for the US campaign or something.

The Mustang, incidentally, wasn't very good for ground attack as it was extremely vulnerable to ground fire. They were used because they had a lot of them and they weren't good for anything else.

Yes, you're right.

Turkey Hill and more

Some briefing texts are too extended, beyond window limits, please, check this. No bugs to report, just the impression that PLA's snipers are more efficient than Allies'.

Sniper units are all the same. The AI just knows how to use them right.

Yes, it is nice watching the snipers move forward, encounter an enemy unit, then move back a hex and fire.
Especially when the sniper target a HQ unit (jeep with commander).

Briefings that do not display correctly; is/was this also an issue in 8.4.4 or has it cropped up in 8.5.4?

Actually, it seems that 8.5.4 has solved the text and frame issue.

Thought I would try out some of the mini campaigns but was unable to get the game to work. I tried extracting the individual mini campaigns to desktop and click and drag them into the OOB Campaign Folder. When I opened the game it was not available in the Custom Content section. I next tried to extract the entire Korea directly to the OOB Campaign Folder, no luck. I next tried to click and drag just the Campaign Folder into the OOB folder, no luck. Each time the mini campaigns were in the OOB Campaign Folder but not available in the games Custom Content. I suspect that I am missing something fairly simple. I would appreciate any ideas or assistance. I have had problems in the past clicking and dragging campaigns/scenarios into the OOB folders and had to extract directly into the OOB folders, but one or the other methods would work.

A quick high grass terrain test.

I'm probably doing something wrong....

No, that's exactly what I was talking about: the 2D-editor part kinda works, but the 3D-terrain part doesn't... although you can still select the hexes and you should have the new high grass terrain info.

The only way that I could make it work was to change the existing "scorched" terrain. Try that.

Playing Tank campaign at the moment, you may have been alerted to these issue already but, in the scenario you have to save the Turks, I completed all objectives but the Primary objective never triggered and game ended in a Draw, same with the scenario prior to this one.

Otherwise, I am really enjoying these! Looking forward to trying the others.

Thanks Erik!

I'm planning a final mini campaign starring the Turks, so I may change the Turkish units to cores in the Tank campaign and allow them to be re-used.

Whatever High Grass terrain you choose, Terminator's if he approves or your current one in the Korea mod;
Please use the Scorched Terrain slot.

Also, I would like to use High Grass for my Banzai and Semper Fi campaigns.
I was thinking of using your mod for this, but then you would either have to add High Grass you your own mod or make a copy for me if you prefer to keep Scorched in your mod.

Give it some thoguhts and report back in this thread or PM me.
The High Grass would make my scenario maps in several of my campaigns more varied and better looking.

Thanks
Erik

I don't want to swap the terrain in the "Gabe"-mod, but as Horst suggested somewhere else, I can easily make a mod with the changed terrain ONLY.
A mod does not have to include units data.
But I can tell you right now that anything considering OoB modding won't happen until late november/december (probably).

When I try to load a mini-campaign in the Korean Mod everything looks good until it gets to the loading tip box. The slider starts and goes only about 1/3 of the way then stops dead. This happens with any of the Korean campaigns. Using Steam and all latest software but no go. (all stand alone campaigns work fine, Banzai ETC). Any ideas?
