Big thank you to Don for organising a wonderful competition using different armies and just using the rules and official amendments with no competition specific rules.

As I had forecasted earlier Ray and I submarined over the weekend and met Nigel in round 2. That meeting gave Nigel's his chance to beat up Ray. Unfortunately it worked in our favour although I would have like a couple more points to give us 2nd place.

Thank you to our four opponents - Alasdair and Paddy, Nigel and Brenden, Will and Pete and finally Lynette and Kevin. 4 great and friendly games even if we were smashed in 2 games.

Thank you everyone for coming, sorry the games were shorter than expected.
Richard tells me he just ignored the instructions given out in the past and just played on. We will know for another year.

Pete has been admitted to hospital and has been put onto IV anti-biopics. Hopefully he will be on the mend soon.

Other than Alasdair all the others of us were very close.

Sorry I think I completely missed that Pete was not well, please send on my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

My comment about timings was intended to help whoever runs it next year, as I felt an extra 1/2 hours play would have prevented so many draws.

Had I realized, I to would have not done as I was told.
