Thanks Adebar, a truly great scenario.

A hard fought battle that became a slugging match in the centre. I managed to advance some units of cavalry across the landwher on my right that caused havoc to his left flank and routed a number of enemy units. Just as well, as I struggled to hold the rest of the line, especially in the centre where all was chaos and confusion. I managed victory by just 4%, had it not been for my cavalry on the right flank I would have lost for sure.

All in, a fantastic and fun scenario, very well made. The German names on units and landmarks is a nice touch, gave it a continental feel, which is missing from the original scenario's (or am I sounding a bit crazy).... :mrgreen:

Well done my friend. You have set the standard for us all and put my meagre efforts to shame. Time to up my game I think.... :D
Regards.

Thanks guys, so many great new stuff to play now!

@Warlord156:

Beautiful map! I wondered how you did the coastline and studied it in the editor. The result looks great, more natural than in the TtS Nieuwpoort scenario. Splendid idea!

Thanks Adebar;
The map was made before the release of TtS. I was not able to create the coast/beech effect with the available tiles so I had to improvise. The result you see on the map was purely experimental, but turned out to be better than I thought it would.

Hi
This looks a really interesting scenario, can we have a two player version please? The map would also make a good start for converting the two 1558 Calais scenarios in the HPS "Renaissance" game. I am currently playing the second of these that makes provision for an English relief force arriving by sea. I think this would make a great two player scenario for Pike & Shot.

Thanks again for the scenerio

Hi Hoplite1963
A two player version will be available soon.... An interesting idea to convert the Renaissance game, I will see what I can do.
Thanks for the feedback.

Sorry if this has been covered before in another thread, but how do you get that low level view?

Go to folder.... Slitherine/Pike and Shot/Data, open - MAPVIEW.txt Change pitch to 20 ( or whatever angle you wish), using a copy of the original MAPVIEW. txt.

Hi Warlord
Thanks very much for the quick response, looking forward to the multi player version. the HPS Renaissance game has a fair number of scenarios that might convert well to Pike & Shot including several from the Dutch Revolt. Please Keep up the good work.

Kind regards

Many thanks for those impressive new scenarios, very much appreceated!

Unfortunately I've got not much time ATM to play the game or create new stuff myself, could just take a quick look at the scenarios in the editor.

Odenathus and Warlord156: Everything looks very well done and interesting; I'm amazed how you guys can produce such such a constant and first-class output. Don't be discouraged by the meagre feedback, it seems that the community consists of many silent connoisseurs! :wink:

Hahaha, what you mean is that we're a couple of old saddoes with no lives, sitting by our PCs all day, with posters of 'Firefly' or 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' covering the damp patches on our peeling wallpaper. Well, I don't know about Warlord, but you've certainly got me bang to rights. But cheers anyway.
