In other words, they have now actually received the books that they ordered from the publisher, so they can pass them to their customers.
cheers,

As usual things are a lot more complex than the consumer realises

Osprey do not ship direct to Amazon, they ship to their distributors who then ships to Amazon. There seems to have been a glitch at distribution which slowed things down, but it was not down to Amazon or Osprey

It seems like everything is back on track now though

Greetings
Looking at my Amazon UK order status, it now shows being prepared for despatch but with unchanged dates (28 Feb-11Mar) - a glitch I think - and hope.

I think this thread should be renamed THIS is the day, as most of us ordered off of Amazon and it looks like Amazon are only just today shipping the orders.
My order just changed to despatched so should be with me Saturday.
My opinion of Amazon remains high, don't let this put you off using their services, I do not believe this mess was their fault. They can not deliver what they do not get from the publisher.

Fair play, they've dispatched mine too. Or at least, they've sent an email saying they have.

The question is has anyone who ordered in January had an indication their books have shipped? I think the late 2007 orders are looking good but everyone I have talked to who ordered this year is still waiting (or was when I heard from them).

I'll bet you never thought that having a hit on your hands could be so stressful.
Congratulation JD, along with Iain, Richard, Simon, and Terry. Please kick back and have a nice bottle of Bordeaux, you have definitely earned it. After all, you appear to be making miniatures wargaming history!
Cheers,
Scott

No people will find something else to complain about. You must drink with one hand and gesture vigorously with the other.

Actually slave revolt is a viable army, much better than I thought it would be.

Greetings
Looks from the Amazon UK site as if my rulebook and lists shipped tonight - due to arrive Tuesday (slowish because of free shipping). If it arrives as predicted then I'll be happy given that yesterday I was thinking of getting it up to a month later

.
