Yes the Macedonian Capital has just heard the news of the Destruction of the Reoccupation force. They have found a new Leader who they now depend .Macedonians are at this moment plotting heir revenge on this upstart pretender. There will be no mercy
shown and any survivors will be trampled to death by the Royal Elephants.

The Illyarians are at this moment locked in a fierce fight against the hated Romans. They are carrying out an heroic stand and with luck from the Gods of Dice be victorious. Score Rome 11/47 Illyrians 23/58

Up to turn 9 , it goes reasonably well for the Romans , just need to entice the rest of Ullyrians off
the mountain they are standing on ...

Caesar is Victorious against the Illyrians , but at what cost !
The Illyrians deployed on a mountain and waited for the Romans
to come and play , skirmishers dodged each other and it was a game
of who would anarchy into each others territory. Even with 100 pts extra
the Illyrians almost proved too much for the Roman Empire.

iandavidsmith (Roman) 34/47 win
vrs
Turk (Illyrians ) 55/54 loss

Great game Turk ,
Thanks
Ian

Sorry chaps - I was hoping to post turn outcomes this evening. Unfortunately since moving my computer away from its modem to make way for a nursery, my connectivity is problematic. In my ham foisted attempts to remedy the situation I seem to have broken the dongle. Sigh. Hopefully sorted tomorrow - worst case on the weekend.

Turn two saw a crucial and closely fought struggle at the gates of Rome, a highly strategic expansion of Roman territory into Illyria, Seleucid aggression against against the minor power of Pontus and Ptolemaic expansion into the Aegan:

Ulysisgrunt (Pontic) defeats Greeks and captures province 51 (and gains +1 Battle Point for a total of 2 Battle Points)
Ian (Roman) defeats Illyrians and capture provice 54 and successfully defend Rome (and gains +2 Battle Point for a total of 4 Battle Points)
ChrisBM (Selucids) defeats Ulysisgrunt and captures province 62 (and gains +1 Battle Point for a total of 3 Battle Points)
George123 (Ptols) defeats Greeks of Crete amd capture province 16 (and gains +1 Battle Point for a total of 1 Battle Point).

In other news, the Macedonian throne is secured as Phillip emerges as a new warleader.
What will turn 3 bring?

Orders gratefully recieved. Apologies for delay and thanks to the good people at Netgear!

Random Event for the new turn: War Frenzy - 3 attacks or 2 naval invasions possible for each major power. 2 attacks or 1 naval invasion for the plucky pontics.

Carthage turn 3 orders sent
Did try a crow, but giving it a first class stamp left it somewhat distressed, messenger sent instead.

Unfortunately the Gauls where busy drinking and eating wild boar instead of thinking about which army
they are defending against , hence the Romans have had to create another challenge with all armies
allowed to participate in the battle. Password = brutus

have a whale of a time
