Couple of British P-47s. Havent game testing them, but tossing them out there anyway lol Now I cant take full credit because the camo and markings on them I used off a spitfire I got off the forum, not sure who made it, so thanks. They Brits got about 500-600 of each of these and used them mostly as ground attack planes, so might want to switch them into the Tac Bombers class and drop air attack down some maybe.

Nice job on the P-47's!

Matter of fact, great job - especially for your first air units... Keep this up and you may have to consider renaming the thread.

Found out last night there isnt an animation for the US Glider troops and British Airlanding troops I made. They are both the two man para icons but with a rifle and not a machine gun.

So might have to go back to the machine gun, so anyone got any ideas of what I could add to the image to make them stand out as those types of troops? Id like to go to the normal 3 infantry men but making uniforms to match the Paras might be a bit hard the way I skin my troops. Maybe some equipment on the ground next to them??

Or... we can make special animations for them... I was toying with those graphics files, and made two new ones (or more accurately derivatives) for the Slovak Mountain troops, and I was reported that they worked, so if you like... :-) Upload the icons...

And if you want to give the US glider troops a more distinctive look, you can replace the standard bolt-action rifle with a M1 Carbine.

By the way... great work first with the infantry units (I love them!), and also with the Canadian vehicles!

Thanks for the kind words on the units, glad you liked them.

Yes I saw you did the Slovak graphic file, ill check that out. I had though about doing the M1 Carbine too, but its a small weapon with a very thin barrel. However ill test it out see how it looks. The options are never ending hey, so much to work on lol

I dont know if that animation will suit your icon, I think we must make a custom new one, but you can check...

By the way, while looking at your Canadian unit pack, I noticed that the Cromwell tank is missing... Was that intentional?

About endless options, you should have a look to my "icons to do" folder! :-)

Dont get me started on the To do list! lol

Did the Canadians run Cromwells? From my quick searches when making the list it seemed to me the Canadians only crewed Shermans, and Fireflys. That all other tanks, Churchills, Cromwells, Challengers where crewed by British units. So yes some tanks were left out intentionally. Now I cant claim to be an expert on Canadian units so if you or any one knows for sure, Id glady add them if they were used.

I also left out some AA units etc, to show how the Canadians were dependent on the US and Brits for equipment. I didnt want them to be a total clone of the British to keep it interesting.

Yes, I suppose the reason was something like that... I am no expert in what equipment used Canadian forces in World War Two. And I agree, there is no reason in duplicate everything the British had with Canadian colours.

Yeah just did a search again and is a no on those other tanks. They sort of got the short end of the straw really, much of the British stuff they got came from equipment pulled from the front lines after it was worn out, broken down etc.

Well, the Canadians did actually use a few Churchills, they landed them at Dieppe. But after that is was mostly Shermans, indeed. They also had a few very interesting domestic designs, some of which even made it into Europe:

This is a Canadian Ram tank that was used by the Dutch after WWII. And they had also developed a very impressive-looking AA tank. I'm hoping to turn these into PzC icons one day.

Some info on which tanks they used:

Yes I knew about the ones in the Dieppe Raid, interesting that they never got issued Churchills again directly. Thanks for the links, one i already had, but not the other which is nice. If I ever get round to making a Western Allies Elite units mod, which id like too, the Canadians will be in it so good to get as much info about what they used, thanks.

Ive noticed in a few threads on here of late that I point out i never run German Pioneers, which if you look through this thread youll see no camo skins to match the others that ive posted. However tonight i started to correct that, one is done, 3-4 to go. Sadly I wish I had done them all at the same time as im better at it now, and never easy to match the coloring and etc when doing it years later, but doing what I can.

So for those using my camo skins, you can expect Pioneers units in the same skins!

Not thrilled doing them but should complete the set as it were lol

Ok Anfield! The Pionieers, just what was needed to complete the improved German Infantry set! By the way, I found some good images and will do the icons for: Ram Tank Mk.II, Ram Kangaroo and Ram Badger (flamethrower version of the Kangaroo).
And also... Did the Canadians in Dieppe used Churchills Mk.I and I am sure they fitted them with deep wading equipment... A new, distinctive looking icon more to make! :-)

Yes set will get completed lol Cool look forward to see those when you finish them. Im not sure on the Churchills used for that raid, or what they used to get onto the beach. I'll do a little digging, interested to know now!

The Canadians had Churchills ith 2pdr and 6pdr guns, and 3 flame tanks, although they wouldnt be Crocs. So Mk. I and IIs?? Looking at pics from the raid, didnt see any floating devices around the tanks so dont know how they landed them.
