The dice gods favoured the Indians, especially when a single Indian archer (by accident) charged the Sassanid general (horse, lance etc.) and the archer won that impact big time AND killed the general! Thanks for a good game!

Key terrain was the near map-length forest/marsh in the center separating the two armies. The Palmyrans attacked into the forest to root out the Dacian horde, greatly angering the dice gods, allowing the Dacian center to stand firm and the Dacian right wing to survive long enough against cataphracts in open terrain for a withdrawal into the woods. Meanwhile, the Dacian left wing overcame the Palmyran right and began rolling up the rest of the line. Tough match, hope to play Bagration again in future.

A valiant attempt but some heroics by poor and med infantry against cav in the open held the flank long enough for the left and middle to engulf the Roman Allies on the steep hills
