Tragically no. It stuck around the whole battle and was very distracting for both sides. Now that I know how to avoid it, it won't happen again...but will live on forever in legend now!

Ok, so just need to try to wrap up my game with random27 then it's back to the big board...I'm hoping no more than a day or two....otherwise, I might need to exclude that battle from the results so we can get on with the game.

Very cute map, Mac. Lots of trees and rough ground to hide in. It's a made for infantry ambush scenario. Like it a lot!
3 bridges to control the river crossing, but with two sneaky fords off the ploughed field... Nice!!
Do you use VP flags? Or is it more about depleting the enemy?

Mike mentioned you've gone for plain vanilla BA unit team sizes/morale. Does this work ok for carryover? Do you find enough of 'em survive to keep the campaign going? I've had some gripes from non-GJS players about switching back from Granfali's increased unit sizes. I've resisted for now, while I'm trying to figure out if it would mess up our carryover, because I trust what Granfali did and I want to avoid chop and change. But if it works for you, it should work for GJS'44 too...

Is this Clervaux up yet? Am keen to give it a whirl...
Keep up your great work!
:-)

Thanks Jon. A note about the campaign, 'figures' always retain their strengths (unless of course, they are eliminated). So for example, if after a BA battle it is determined that a 'figure' must retreat (Ie. suffered a loss of a unit in BA) that 'figure' will be full strength for the next battle. It maintains continuity without sacrificing playability.

Ok, so the results are in...the random selection of battles determined the KingT (Axis) v. B'44 (Allies) result. So no Allied losses but the 9th and 10th Armored were forced to retreat. The 106th Inf holds.

The American force at Clervuax declines to attack due to it's limited supplies so the German forces move on Clervaux in the hopes of destroying the low supplies and preventing the American force there from moving.

You can see the results on Vassal here - St. Vith attack results

Here is the current situation map

BA Battle to be posted shortly...

Ok volks, it's available!

I'd like to tackle two different opponents (one as the Allies and one as the Axis)...but again, feel free to start games with other players as well...everyone's battle will qualify.

(note; I've added some help to the VG divisions and lowered the VG units to 2 and added an Engineer to each...should give them a little more punch...will be updating the OOB later. Smoke seems to be working fine...no bridges ;) but I couldn't figure out how to change the starting side so the Allies still go first, I've added a turn to compensate).

Same procedure as before but for those of you who are new, here is how to get it...

1. Run BA on your Mac, PC or iPad
2. If you do not already have B'44 on your system, skip ahead to Step 8
3. Choose Multiplayer (at the bottom)
4. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
5. Choose the My Challenges tab (at the top) then press New Challenge
6. Select a B'44 Campaign scenario and then Delete Campaign (bottom right)
7. Press X until you get back to BA start screen
8. Choose Campaigns (at the bottom)
9. Choose Download Community Scenarios (at the top)
10. Choose Download a Campaign Package from the Internet (top right)
11. Type http://tinyurl.com/bdr9mzp into the URL box
12. Click the green tick
13. Back at the campaigns list, select "B'44 - Wacht am Rhein" and click Download the Selected Campaign (bottom centre)
14. This should download everything that you need
15. Press X until you get back to the BA start screen and choose Multiplayer
16. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
17. Either go to the My Challenges tab and click the New Challenge arrow. Select "St. Vith December 17th, 1944"
18. Or go to the Accept Challenges tab and click the scenario that you're supposed to be fighting (if your opponent has already setup your game)

After all that, you can play B'44 on any platform... Phew!!

(thanks to GL88 for this process description)

Great stuff! Got the map and I took your Allies game. I have also created a game in which I'm playing the Allies too.

Good luck to everyone, see you on the field!

Yep, Clervaux it is.

I left St. Vith in there for any new players who are looking for a battle. Any of those played though won't affect anything, only Clervaux will be considered.

Happy hunting!
