Well done you two for getting the game completed after a slow start, that's great - the Christian Nubians will not be the winners of the tournament this time. So we are just waiting to see if davouthojo (the holder) has survived against mortonj now.

Wow! What a big upset! Congratulations Jim on knocking out the current holder of the tournament.

Yes, davouthojo is one of the top 5 players of FOG and he is very difficult to beat on a level playing field - it is a good job I didn't give you 400pts, isn't it?

I am very happy with the way the handicap is affecting this tournament now. There have been 19 matches where players have had different size armies and the handicapped players with the smaller armies have still managed to win 15 of those contests. But the fact that 4 of the handicapped players (Lysimachos, Sharkall, hidde and davouthojo) have been knocked out means the whole draw has opened up to allow newer players like yourself, Radio and macsen to be represented in the later stages. This is what I was hoping for when I introduced the handicap into this competition.

Looking ahead to tomorrow's quarter-final draw we still have two "big guns" left in iversonjm and ericdoman1 who are playing with 300pts; and we have two different Seleucid armies and two different Jewish Revolt armies. In fact, there is nothing medieval at all left in the competition now. Good stuff! :D

Hello to all

League of Extraordinary Gentleman, Season 9 is about to begin.

Go to League of Extraordinary Gentleman link/thread, in FOG-Digital. Scroll down to season 9 for the rules and choose your armies in the relevant recruitment threads/links/thingummyjigs

Pete's KO comp is most certainly the second biggest comp in FOG-Digital (and in my opinion is improving big time) but LOEG is "THE ONE".

Join up, pm/email your friends and let's get the biggest show on the road up and running.

Thanks to Pete for allowing me to post on his link.

Cheers

Eric

Yes, that is definitely true and I hope players who have entered this competition will consider registering for LOEG Season 9. Both competitions have exciting futures ahead of them now that Slitherine have decided to re-vamp the FOG PC game.

iversonjm (Dailami) 8/22 v. Mortonj (Seleucids) 34/33

A hard fought game, but the Dailami are tough to kill.

Well played, Matt. So the current top two players of FOG are through to the semi-finals! And well done to Jim for reaching the quarter-finals in his first tournament.

I suspect we'll be seeing him in the quarters and semis of many tournaments to come.
