I have played one that just concluded. You are a busy guy Mr. Aristides. Are you playing full time up at the Burgholzli?

You know I thought it was something like that. Say hi to the boys on the ward for me. Julius, Napoleon, etc. I don't want to forget anyone. I hear it is an excellent hospital. Very humane.

Finished game with blbrowning.
phlewis-Nikephorian Byzantine 33/32 blbrowning (Buyid) 37/37
Nikephorian Byzantine (phlewis) 500/32 = 15.625 round to 16 x 33 = 528/2 = 264 + 25 (Field Com Killed) + 10 (Troop Com Killed) = 299 250 - 299 = -49
Buyid (blbrowning) 500/37 = 13.513 round to 14 x 37 = 518/2 = 259 + 10 (Troop Com Killed - guessing since CinC and 1 Sub still on field) = 269 250-269 = -19
If you did not lose a commander please reply and correct your score.
Hopefully I calculated this correctly.

It was a brutal bloodletting with the native Byzantine troops showing a marked lack of enthusiasm for the battle. Despite the example of the Byzantine Generals dieing on the field rather than retreat the Thematics ran like whipped curs. Only the elite Kataphractoi, Norman Knights, Varangians, and allied Georgians put up a good fight. When the battle was over these troops held the center of the field surrounded by the remaining Dailami who had exhausted themselves chasing the Thematic troops from the field.
Praise, honors, and gold were heaped upon the heroes of the battle. The Thematic troops were decimated to encourage better performance in the future.

So we've lost a chunk of banter and some challenges in 'Mars Attack'. I'll re-post results etc at the top of the thread when I get back from work. Please re-post anything relating to challenges etc. that has disappeared.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, Sarpedon has had to withdraw from the campaign. Does anyone have a problem with me taking his 'seat' at the table (though it would not be with his chosen armies)?
Cheers.

Sounds good to me for you to replace Sarpedon. From the Slitherine news announcement, there's a good chance that my challenge with Tiavals will need to start from scratch so let me know if you want to just declare the season over.

If it otherwise means there'll be no player in his seat, go ahead. The more the merrier.
As for batesmotel, trying to weasel out of your humiliating loss, eh?

I'll do a stock take of where we are with challenges - it's unlikely that anyone will get killed off (famous last words again

) so why don't you and Tiavals play out your Spring 1025 game and feel free to issue your summer challenges as well? That way everyone can move in to summer while you guys catch up the one battle?

Is the following correct?:
keyth vs. phlewis
Tiavals vs. keyth
Turk1964 vs. Sarpedon
phlewis vs. blbrowning
Aristides vs. Turk1964
(batesmotel vs. Tiavals)
(blbrowning vs. batesmotel)
(Sarpedon vs. ???)
Last three in progress or to play. So basically, do I need to issue Sarpedon's challenge for Spring still?

I posted a challenge for batesmotel that Sarpedon answered and thought it was a non campaign game using a non campaign army. I posted a challenge for anyone that disappeared. I think I have to attack someone but have I? Currently I have no campaign game in progress.

Keyth and BB, I think it would probably be a good idea if you did make an attack, so we have the right amount of games per season - we're anyway waiting for games...
With 3 or 4 games in the balance, perhaps better to wait on Summer moves? (Also considering the rung rule for attacks...)

Are we ignoring this rule for now then? Or do we retro figure out who was more than 2 spots below and then not be able to attack them in Autumn?
