Sorry Peter I must have misunderstood the concept I thought this was about killer armies and killer players if we are now restricted to choice of what we put in our list post registration in the event then sorry i don't agree with that and regretfully withdraw my participation.

Regards Rex

Hey Peter !
Since SOA Medieval Castilian doesn't seem to attract more commanders, I would like to swap that for War Roses Yorkist. Would that be okay ?

Also a couple games up for Free Company, password: freecompany (for anyone by the name porsenna, GrudgeBringer or Jonno  )

Early Achaemenid Persians?

I'm surprised there isn't more interest in this army.

Peter what's the minimum number of players that have to pick an army to earn its way into the army semi-finals?

ROR- Mid Republican Roman vs Mid Republican Roman

Flatsix518 (22/32) vs GrudgeBringer (32/29)

VPs for Flatsix518 :
Winning 2vp
32 break points caused to opponent = 10vp
3537/8700 manpower loss caused = 40% = 8vp
Camp looted = 2vp

Total VP: 22 VP

VPs for GrudgeBringer:
22 Break points caused to opponent = 7vp
2776/9600 manpower loss caused = 28% = 5vp
Camp not looted = 0vp

Total VP: 12vp

Cautious game that ended up surprisingly bloody. We didn't even cross swords until turn 10. Grudge took up a strong position on a hill but deliberately left his camp unguarded. I approached his position and took the camp. At the same time we began our skirmishing. I got the better of the light fight and with the camp, was ahead by 10vps. At that point I decided to try and attack the hill. I figured if I failed, I could break off and with the vp lead hold on for a draw. As things turned out the dice gods heavily favored me in my first few attacks up the hill. That and the vp advantage I started with carried the day. Grudge fought hard and actually broke my center to narrow the game which was closer than the score indicates.

On reflection i think i like this system of scoring better than the LoEG syetem. Minus the bonus for camp looting which is already too well rewarded and unfairly so with large armies.( I see no reason why more battlegroups equates to more bps it should have simply beenpt at a % of army value when it was increased. )

SOA Medieval Welsh V Medieval Welsh Tillius V Turk1964
Turk1964 (23) Tillius(19)
Turk1964 2VP for win
47 break points = 15 Vp
31% casualties = 6 Vp
Total 23VP

Tillius
42 break points = 14Vp
29% casualties = 5Vp
Total 19Vp

A great game that could of gone either way in the end. Both sides started slowly with Tillius Holding the hill and watching preceedings from atop and Turks troops making a carefull aproach. Both sides loosed arrows upon each other from a distance with minimal casualties. A cavalry charge by Tillius into his opponents Cavalry was at first a stale mate but soon turned and saw Tilliuses Cavilry running from the field. This brought each side closer together and after a hard fight from both sides and the body count rising.A Late surge by Tillius nearly saw a draw but Turk held on just. Thanks for an interesting and fun game.
Cheers Turk

Brawling battle with many twists and turns. In the end I succeeded in winning on the two flanks and losing the center (again -- story of my life). The right flank battle was against some bad terrain and I had an advantage in light troops there. On the left we had a swirling cavalry battle that went every which way. I think I had more heavy can in the fight and barely edged it out. Great game. Much closer than the score which got run up by a lot of gratuitous over kill on my part.
