Steam...Howdy brother vet (even if you were a squid

)
Look at these skins
viewtopic.php?t=29745.
Or these
viewtopic.php?f=147&t=32643
Find a skin set that you like if you dont like my selection
All you have to do is re-label them
IE:
Original:
Elefant_Camo.png
To:
SS_Elefant.png
The only other way is to make whole new units up in the equip-file and gfx file SS_Wiking_PIVD. Right now I'm working on this project
viewtopic.php?f=147&t=32548 .
Maybe when I get SS-GTPG done I will do new entries in the equipment file and have skins for all of the specific divisions of all of the Wehrmacht, but they will entered into the Elite Units, which is here
viewtopic.php?t=31526 or the SS-GTPG Mod.
If you want to try it yourself I would more than glad to answer any questions you have and help you, as would everybody here.
Here is the main mods thread made by VonPaulus
viewtopic.php?f=147&t=27036,it may be of some help also
It's good hearing from you Steam.

First observations:
it is much preferable to install the mod and only then the sound Redux mod otherwise the sounds are not those of RSM Redux.
Sound mod: unfortunately no movement sounds are there for heavy bombers using RMS Redux.
For the rest I love the SS Pz coprs mod, great idea to use those elite troops with a great camo coupled with the historical Insignia pack.

I'm glad you're enjoying the mod Robert.
As for your questions:
Are you using the GME?
If you are (and you should be ) you have to activate RSM,then RSM Redux.
It should not matter when you activate the SS Panzer Corps or the Historical Insignia

They should have sounds.
Could you be more specific, about which version of redux you're using? Have you made the whole updates? Which other mods are working simultaneously?
airbornemongo101 wrote:If you are (and you should be ) you have to activate RSM,then RSM Redux.
No, Bob. Forget RSM.
He only need RSM Redux and the updates. And Redux comes always after your mod, not the other way around.

I'm waiting for the corrected efile. Than i need to check if more than 5 nations can function in a scenario and i'm going to lower the prestige dumps. Afterwards it shouldn't take long anymore.

Hello,
YES I am using the GME.
If you are (and you should be ) you have to activate RSM,then RSM Redux.
I merged all sound files into one directory.
I used RSM v 1.0 + RSM Redux upgrade 1.3 + RSM Redux Sfx Pack 1.0, all files are zipped in the same directory named by me Real Sound Mod in Pz Corps\Mods directory.
See the three zip files here:
viewtopic.php?f=147&t=30216
The directory includes 2 subdirectories:
* Audio (including AttackSfx + MoveSfx + 15 Damage*.wav files (the newest ones coming from RSM Redux Sfx pack BTW)
* Graphics
I was told in Red Dawn mod that Land Pack + Sound Pack were to be used
first by GME and only then the campaign.
If I do this in that order then the sounds for this campaign look pale (I do not use land pack here), the player does not benefot form the RSM (Redux) sound pack.
I just tested Moscow 1943 of standard campaign, it was a Dornier Do217E, no movement sound at all.
I also read on the forum that Italian heavy bombers had the same problems so I have not tested any other heavy bomber, maybe I was just unlucky with the Do 217E.
No need to use historical inignia pack because the author of the SS pz Corps mods had the very good idea to included it already in his mod.

Robert I'm going to let VPaulus continue w/ this problem. I'm out of my league when it comes to mapping or sounds
RSM was Vpaulus's outstanding work. He'll be able to help you
I'm glad your enjoying the SS Panzer Corps mod. You should also try the Elite Units, but if you do,uninstall the SS Panzer Corps (it's included in the Elite Units.)

I had not understood I needed to use 1.0 + 1.1 + 1.2 + 1.3 + Sfx Pack.
I shall test and keep you informed.
I was talking about elite units because in reality Waffen SS took more risks and were historically "elite" soldiers, this explains the rate of death among the troopers BTW.
I was not talking about your Elite Mod but thx for your proposal. I knew you drafted two mods and they are different from each other.
Personnally I don't need a second kind of elite troopers if I have Waffen SS at my disposal.
The game used SE and not SS, it was a choice of game developpers for philosophical reasons I can fully understand (it is a "touchy" subject especially in France).
With your mod we come back to historical accuracy and this is what I like in a WW2 game, this is also why we need modders.

The sound pack is the last to be installed.
It would be easier if the pack was integrated in the mod, like it's on USMC Campaign . But the download would be bigger.

Actually the Sfx pack is optional.
RobertCL wrote:I shall test and keep you informed.
Thanks please do. I've tested it yesterday when I read what you wrote. There was a moving sound in the bombers, at least in those which I've tested.

Hi Von Paulus,

Not really, it would be better if the sound mod was a unique exe or zip file (including the optional Sfx pack).
I have tested Moscow 43, of course I reinstalled the sound mod and this is outstanding!!!
I could finally listen to the engine of my Do 217E.
The Waffen SS campaign is great too but a Wehrmacht unit should not be upgraded into a Waffen SS one.
In Moscow 43 I had an old PAK canon, I was looking for a SDKFZ 251 but this unit did not exist anymore and there was no transport for AT, so I upgraded my unit into an Elefant but the ability to change my old pak Wehrmacht unit into a Waffen SS Elefant seems weird...
Maybe soldiers asked for a mutation...

The problem is that I'm always updating that would make that with each update people would had to download all again.

Maybe you could do a middle way? Keep the update packages like they are for people which already have the mod installed and want to limit the download amount and every few (two, three, chose an arbitrary number here) upgrades release and upload a new basic package containing everything again for people that download the mod for the first time or need to re-download it for whatever reasons. Applying one or two updates to a basic packages should be no problem but after four or five it start to be a little bit tedious and people may lose overview and screwup something. Choosing the middle way solves the problem and the only downside i see is that you get to upload a bigger package every now and then.

Yes Tarrak, I might do something similar with the next update.
I can have a cumulative update from 1.0 to 1.4 and another that only updates from 1.3 to 1.4.
Thanks.
