Kerensky wrote:The size of that Torch maps concerns me a little.
What are the dimensions, starting and per turn prestige numbers, and value of pre-placed units, if you don't mind me asking?
Dimensions: 200x50
Starting prestige: it´s a campaign and there are different ways to Operation Torch. But it should be enough!
Per Round: 150
Pre-placed units: Axis around 40, Allied around 150
Core units axis: 30
Kerensky wrote:Out of curiosity, if 1 scenario (Torch) stretches from the Atlantic to Tunisia and Libya, how do you fit 26 more scenarios into Africa?
Some are bigger, some are smaler, you will see after release
Kerensky wrote:Are these campaign, single play, or multiplayer maps? I hope you're not trying to make them all 3 at once. How much consideration has been given to the AI handling of these scenarios? Are the relatively new reinforcement and AI modification triggers invoked?
Only campaign and we spend a lot of time in AI handling, our alpha testers have played Torch, they like it!

Those buildings were taken from Blitzkrieg?
Either way, the mod looks fantastic. Really looking forward to this

Kerensky wrote:Actually I do have one critique about the look. Orange sand is not a problem, but those almost neon blue strength plates on the sand? That contrast doesn't hurt your eyes?
http://www.colorsontheweb.com/colorcontrasts.asp
The top picture to the left shows blue and its split complementary color, orange. This is acombination that has a high contrast of hue. This gives a rather vibrant combination that can be tiring to the eyes.
After a second look I agree with you. But everything is alpha for the moment. We will change the strength plates before release.
Thank´s for your advice

HBalck wrote:Yes - the map looks like a fast mission with not to mutch details. I used the scale 1km = 1 Hex also for my Torch scenario and show only the Casablanca landings with Pattons Corps, but with all historrical troops and mutch details for the terrain.

Might I beg you to post things about your mod in your thread?
Thank you.

With that 30 turn time limit... I dunno. But if you say your testers are enjoying it, then I'll take your word for it. Keep up the good work.
And glad to hear you're reconsidering the strength plate color. lol

Hmm ... that Lancia 3Ro seems strangely familiar...
Other than that, the Henschels on the top look a bit like ornithopters (strange perspective) and there's some differences in angle across the board - but I argued about that way back when Rudankort released the first PzC screenshots, its always a problem for modders to replicate that exact perspective unless they have access to actual 3D models that they can load into a 3D app which allows them to adjust the angle properly. In other words, I know the problem from my own modding efforts.
Other than that, yeah, it looks pretty nifty.
Since HBalck keeps postponing his release date, you still have a chance to be the first Afrika Korps mod coming out, too.

Thanks.

The units are from Blitzkrieg, right?
They look good. Good job converting them over

No, not one unit is from Blitzkrieg.
Some units are from the original panzercorps just pimped by DMP.
Some are from acquaintance we met in our forum.
Some are handmade by DMP 100% with 2D software. Panzercorps is no 3D game, it´s not necessary to use 3D software
Landscape is 100% from DMP.

Why do the units have Red Guns and some of the tanks have a fluorescent Green?
Just wondering, any reason for that?

I'm assuming they have
rifles with Wooden stock/forestock.
Not sure what you mean by fluorescent Green?

I think Razz, is referring to the Matilda and M3 Stuart or Lee. They have a little green.
But they surely look very nice, IMO.

A lot of you, who have played panzergeneral will miss the Africa – missions in panzercorps.
So we will create our own dynamic Africa campaign for panzercorps.
With new terrain and units in Africa look, all in the well-known quality of DMP.
Africacorps will start historical, but what is a mod for panzercorps if Germany can´t win?
Yes, it´s boring!
So after a victory at El Alamein fictive battles will follow:
- Conquer of Cairo
- Suez Canal
- Push into the Middle East
- Attack of Baku from the south
- And many more!
