It's a new day and the application is working perfectly .... no problems what so ever. Looks like a winner. Don't know how I lived without it! If you don't have it ... get it!

It's excellent. Wouldn't it be great if when you clicked on the alert, you fire up FoG and go straight to MP... (hint).

Thanks all. I will speak to Iain about when and how to release a final version. Wouldn't have been possible without all your help!
Cheers

I don't want to spoil it but I'm still having some...negative to report.
No fail but the app I installed behave, lets say erratic or with delays. Often what it's showing is not up to date.
Example: I have four games waiting and when I've played those the message still is that I have four games in queue. It can linger for a long time.
Maybe till the next change, I'm not sure.
And right now I had three games. Played them and after that the box show "1turn listed as ready". It's been 15-20 minutes now and there is no turn but it insist that there is one.
When a turn arrive it's touch and go. Sometimes the box pops up, sometimes not.

Hidde,
Are you using version 8? If yes, then it may be worth checking that you are not using a shortcut to a previous version (each version has a distinct name and so downloading the new version won't overwrite it).
I don't see the problems you list with this version.

When mousing over the icon it shows 8. Can't find another version on my comp.
Still, I exit and reopened. Now it's definitely version 8. The latest wrong message disappeared. We'll see what happens.

Well, I now have had a new turn waiting for at least 15 minutes but the application hasn't reacted.
Edit: and then it did, right after I posted this.

Hidde, have you seen this behaviour in previous versions? Does it still report the wrong numbers if you left click on the icon to get a current reading.
What version of windows are you running?
Thanks

No, the only problem I had before was the vanishing icon.
Yes, I can left-click many times without any change. When and why it changes and show the right numbers I haven't been able to figure out.
Actually, since I restarted I've only gotten one turn. That is shown correct but it took 15-20 minutes before it popped up.
I have Vista.

New observation: If I left-click the icon and then let the rectangle go away by itself I get the same message time after time.
If I click on the x in the right corner of the rectangle to close it, any change that have happened will immediately display.
This has happen twice now.

Am also running Vista. With Version .08 all the problems disappeared on my laptop. The lag time after finishing all turns for the icon to stop blinking is between 5 and 30 seconds which I consider acceptable.

Hmm - this sounds like it is misreporting a system event, and hence the code perhaps thinks there is a still a message up there. I will read up on any Vista-centric options etc which might be set on your machine. I know there are certain ways that the experience can be altered.

OK - this is a version attempting to rectify the response problems seen on Vista. My guess is that somehow the timer messages aren't getting through, though I have no idea why. Let me know how this works for people (even if 0.08 worked fine for you).
