We dont have a way to exchange PC for MAC so I dont know if there is anything we can do on this. The MAC versions tends to be released through Freeverse which is a different company so logistically it would be a nightmare.

All versions will be kept in synch - at least that is the plan! Matrix are just our publishing partner in the US, selling the PC version.

I did not get an answer to the below question so I posted it again. Also how will date sensitive armies work can any army play any other army or do they need to match up historically (Such as 400BC-200BC)? Thanks

CharlesRobinson wrote:This is awesome - I will be ordering this update and all future updates so pour them on.

My question I have is how will multiplayer work now? Specifically, when you go to choose a battle online, how do you know the size of the army you will be able to play? Will you already have to have an army made and saved somewhere or can you choose the battle and the make a quick army up to the posted limit? Thanks

Sooo... is it out yet? :D

The webpage linked to in the first post* lists the release date as the first of February, but it still talks about pre-ordering. Is this simply a timezone issue, or did I miss the date being pushed back? Not that I need it right now or anything... but... give it to me right now, please? ;)

I also pre-ordered, so should I simply expect an e-mail today or tomorrow (assuming the release date isn't later this month)

oh :(

That's okay, I still have a lot of on-going games from the original release.

EDIT: Are there lots of new hoplite miniatures in the expansion pack? You listed Greek and Persian war scenarios being put in, which I'm assuming involves battles like Plataea and Marathon. If so, are there going to be Spartans and Athenians and all that other good stuff?

If the expansion includes the army builder for the lists will that mean allied contigent commanders can only command their own units?

Just curious, will the expansion address the issue of medium bow armed infantry (and I also believe heavy bow armed chariots) not being able to fire their bows when controlled by the AI?

Any word as to how the expansion is progressing and is the end of Feb still a viable target?

Any chance of some sneak previews or screenies?

I have tried to pre-order this expansion several times, but when I get to the payment stage my order keeps getting kicked out with the statement: "We are unable to process your order. Please verify your information and try again."

What is happening, how do I overcome this? BTW in case it helps, I am currently on TDY away from my normal home(NYC), I'm in Pakistan right now. Might this have something to do with this snag?

Thanks

Mike

Yes that is probably the issue Mike :(

Can you make sure you're using a real e-mail address (not a free Yahoo/hotmail account) or use your normal home details in NYC when placing the order. The only issue would be any backup CD would go to your home address.

I am using my home details Iain, including my regular e-mail address. Tried several times, with Paypal or credit card, it fails at payment every time. No problem ordering stuff from other dealers though.

Can you maybe contact me direct by e-mail (as Site Admin you should be able to see it on my records?), so that I can maybe order that way? I'm going to be out here for at least another 6 weeks so I'd like to try RoR as soon as it comes out.

Thanks

Mike
