markleslie Papal 1440-1500 AD defeats
random27 Indian Muslim 1470-1500 AD
48-17.
Pin, shoot, flank seemed to be the favoured approach of my opponent in this one, always a difficult proposition when your army is smaller than the foe and not immune to gunpowder powered thunderbolts. Fortunately we had our own thunderbolts.
This glorious company tried to stay compact and refuse our flanks for as long as possible as the lines locked.
The grinding melees and secure(ish) flanks favoured the righteous forces of El Papa and the Indians eventually gave way.
To my opponent Salute!

Division A
markleslie Papal 1440-1500 AD defeats
Triarii Danish 1488-1500 AD with Swedish 1450-1500 AD allies
41-16.
The Papal forces availed themselves of natures bounty and secured their flanks on the woods, awating the advance of the enemy gun line.
The combatants lock and melees begin to break out all along the front.
At least on this occassion the overpriced and underpowered Papal dismounted Knights grind down the enemy heavy foot with the exception of their Trolls, who's effect on events was limited.
Salute!

Bagatrix1805 Venetian 1440-1500 AD with Neapolitian 1443-1500 AD allies
66-30.
The Forces of Light were content to trundle forward, uninterested in engaging around the rough, until the enemies medium foot advanced south demanding a response.
The first casualties were of course the Papal meat shield, rudely dispersed in short order.
While the Papal knights were roughly handled, in the end the Venetian foot were coping it from all angles while their Battle Trolls stood aloof amidst the maelstrom.
Salute!
