Division B

BobGanoush(Alan) defeats Triarii(Abbassid) 61-39 : Score 81-39

And eventually after chasing each other all over the map and despite a magnificent Abassid recovery - after the Alan’s had shot themselves into a 27-4 lead but run out of arrows - a conclusion was reached in the second game at the 11th hour.

Triarii (Alan) defeats BobGanoush (Abassid) 61-51 score 70-51.

A good and fascinating game.

Division B

SawyerK leading the Spanish Sertorius army defeated

Kroche leading the Gallic army by

26-52.

A rough hill controlled by the Heavy Caerti after a hot battle with Loose Warbands and a successful cavalry charge that moved down the Gallic flank into multiple units were the main reasons for the Spanish win. I felt fortunate to exit with the win after a hard fought match.

Egyptian were better on that one , bodhran played a batter game than me

Probably the best completion rate of games in any HOML so far, looking good to have clean results across all divisions. Div A. eric and Roesdelio sitting equal at first place and looking difficult to catch.

Div B. Bob has the lead in the clubhouse, Triarii could catch him with good results in his last two games.

Div C. markleslie has the lead in the clubhouse, Challenge1 could catch him with good results in his last two games.

Div D. Looking close between angusosborne, nyczar and random.

Div E. carpenkm has the lead in the clubhouse, Karvon could catch him with good results in his last two games.

Div F. 1st IMC, and probably between gfs and mberisso for second.

Kroche (Spanish Sertorius) defeated

SawyerK (Gauls)

The centre hill with difficult slopes proved decisive. As in previous match the more nimble forces of Sertorius could claim the hill, although the Gauls preferred to leave a screening force rather than contest the slopes. Spanish heavy foot was concentrated to the left of the hill and began to march forward on their way to rounding the hill. The Gallic army moved cavalry and warbands past their screening force to meet the Spanish as they rounded the hill. A big melee ensued with Spanish, due to more cav units on the far left having the advantage vs Gallic cav. The melee was in the balance, although as gaps appeared the Gallic line was increasingly threatened by the Spanish on the hill. The Spanish central line held long enough for their cavalry to come round to help. The clash between legionnaires and superior Gallic warbands was prettyepic with 1 legionnaire unit fighting vs 1 warband, then 2, then 3 before finally breaking - but by this time the Gallic main line was compromised and itself fell soon after. Minor skirmish on the other wing where Spanish medium foot, protected by some rough ground occupied the Gallic left for the battle without either side causing too much damage there. GG

Karvon's Jews eked out a 63-58 win over carpenkm's Nab's in and around the marshes.

Strange marshy horrible map with lots of archers and slingers causing nearly as many wounds as the mosquitos. The zealots were the difference easily breaking irregulars and archers if they could catch them. Well played.

Triarii Kingdom of Soissons defeats Kroche Romano British 56-27 score 93-27

A tough slugfest where, despite their left wing cavalry being chased the quality of Kingdom of Soissons massed auxilia palatina prevailed in the central woods and flanked the, tougher, Romano-British centre just outside the woods. Very close until the fighting in the woods resolved.
