I hope for a way to skip the enemy replay sequence.
That isn't possible without completely changing the way the game works.
What is actually saved at the end of an MP turn is the situation at the beginning of the turn, and the list of actions that occurred. The replay then actually reconstructs the situation at the end of the turn.
So, as the game works currently, it isn't possible to skip the replay.

So I think it's the same for Medieval!
Well I will wait with a cup of tea!

Since replaying the entire game is hard, maybe this:
The ability to do a replay of my moves in last turn (as there is a replay of the opponent's moves at the beginning of the turn) after the end of the turn(preferably after posting). In this way, for example, you can easily record a video of the battle(without pauses associated with my thinking) or, for example, watch my moves while waiting for my opponent's moves.

Option not to preview map during army selection, you only know map type. Doesn't really work with mirrors, but it's used in some mods by Schweetness and it feels much more realistic.
---
Option to Not Preview Map
Ooh I like this.
It might not work with mirrors but it would be an interesting gamemode option for singleplayer and non-mirror multiplayer matches
---
More individual variation among units is always appreciated
---
Elephant Loss
Regarding Elephant losses, I think I'd enjoy see some occasionally lying on the field too.
4 *might* be a little cramped for the tile - but 2 or 3 (leaning 2 for a couple reasons) would probably look nice still and only requires 1/3 or 1/2 of the unit being lost. Even if it's not as likely as seeing a cav or light unit's casualties, it's still more likely than requiring the entire unit to be destroyed to see a dead model...
{Once in a blue moon I'll see a light cav base loss (2 bases). Never seen an Elephant (1 base) base loss...}
---
In the casualty's screen at the end of the match, it would be a interesting tidbit to show if/which generals were killed or wounded. You could do it via name and type or via just type
Like; Side A: 1 C-in-C Killed | 1 Wounded Sub-General
--
I'm not sure if its do-able but I would think it is based on campaigns + the ingame unit viewer...
Being able to view/print the unit strengths of all the units in the post-game summary would be interesting. Nothing super detailed - just basically a simple, less descriptive reflection of the in-game tab where it'll show stuff like: "Pike Phalanx: 682/1002" for example

Are there any plans to advance FOG2 to the Napoleonic era? Or is FOG Medieval the final historical advancement? Thanks.

How about an option to swap a general's status from front ranks to rear ranks, only swappable if the general is not already in the front ranks with a unit in melee? A general joining a unit in melee would default to rear ranks with the option of switching to front ranks. A general in rear ranks would provide cohesion bonuses and other normal unengaged general benefits but not melee benefit for the unit. I was told this was how it worked in TT at one point for FOG.

I would like to have the option to check the army of an AI opponent during deployment phase. It is possible on multiplayer matches and I think it would help a lot the players that are learning the game.

As answered in your thread, this is already in the game, the 3 dash line button next to 'acccept'

Thanks for the info. So, I missed that in custom battles but just checked it and it is possible. My bad. Pitty that it isn't available in campaign battles.

It isn't available in campaign battles because the army lists are used in different ways in some campaign situations, so seeing the enemy army list would be misleading.

Maybe this Has already been suggested but like there is a button for "Next unmoved" and "next unshot", could a button for "next unresolved melee" be added?
Also, something that I don't Know if it is possible right now and could help new players, would be the ability to watch battles AI vs AI.

Next unmoved is tab. Note that if a unit turned, that counts as having moved.
'L' opens the unit list, which lists AP, Can Shoot, Melee Due, and cohesion status, # of men, etc etc.
AI vs AI functionality is not in the game.

Yes. I Am aware of the things you mentioned. I was just suggesting that a "next unresolved melee" and an AI vs AI functionality was added. I am aware of the shortcuts and the menu on the bottom right.

Just a request, if it is possible:
After a match has ended, it appears on the "completed" tab qnd we can watch the last turn but, unfortunately, we can't send any more messages to our opponent. It would be good to send a message as to tell him (or they tell us) that we are going to set another challenge or discuss things that happened.

Yes, that would be nice, though I don't know how feasible it would be to change.
In the meantime you can use the PM system on this forum - as long as you mention that you may be doing so to your opponent at some point during the game, so that he looks.

I would quite like the match to remain in active until you finish the very last turn. It would add to the excitement and be a better experience!

Thanks for the answer. You are right, I can use the forum, except on those cases (which I think exist) of players that don't visit the forum often.

We get an email alerting us to any pms received, so it doesn't matter if people visit the forum or not.
